"Relationship is Important" From Acts 16:1-15

Image
Psalm Reading Psalm 78:1-16 A maskil of Asaph. 1 My people, hear my teaching; listen to the words of my mouth. 2 I will open my mouth with a parable; I will utter hidden things, things from of old— 3 things we have heard and known, things our ancestors have told us. 4 We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done. 5 He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach their children, 6 so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. 7 Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands. 8 They would not be like their ancestors— a stubborn and rebellious generation, whose hearts were not loyal to God, whose spirits were not faithful to ...

Psalm Reading Psalm 77:1-20 1 I cried out to God for help; I cried out to God to hear me. 2 When I was in distress, I sought the Lord; at night I stretched out untiring hands, and I would not be comforted. 3 I remembered you, God, and I groaned; I meditated, and my spirit grew faint. 4 You kept my eyes from closing; I was too troubled to speak. 5 I thought about the former days, the years of long ago; 6 I remembered my songs in the night. My heart meditated and my spirit asked: 7 “Will the Lord reject forever? Will he never show his favor again? 8 Has his unfailing love vanished forever? Has his promise failed for all time? 9 Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion?” 10 Then I thought, “To this I will appeal: the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand. 11 I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. 12 I will consider all yo...

"How Committed Are You?" from Acts 14:19-28

Image
Being committed is not just being a disciples. We can express our commitment by being good in our work, family and friends. We should entrust our work to God. And always include to glorify Him in everything we do. Never forget God's grace and fellowship. Jesus' disciples were called impostor. Specially Paul - people will mock him. If we are committed to the scriptures we can never be swayed by mockery. What are the things that can't keep us from being committed? Sickness, famine, very busy at work, broken relationship, or financial needs? Look at Paul, he had nothing but he entrusted his work to God. If we are not committed to God we will surely give up. Stay connected with the vine and stay close to the scriptures. Acts 9:16 I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.” Strengthening Remain true And to Keep you to be more faithful to God. What is our source of strength? God is our strength, in Him we have our refuge to strengthen our soul. H...

"True wisdom comes from God" from Job 28:1-28

Image
Proverbs 2:6 For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Human have a wow wisdom especially wow in terms of technology nowadays. For what we should use wisdom in spiritual not on worldly thing. Verse 1-11, People are really bright through the wisdom that comes from their mind. Where should we really see the true wisdom comes from God? Meaning here Job points out this to his friends that is their wisdom is true by convicting Job. Wisdom cannot change it to gold.

"God is Greater Than Our Problems" from Job 27:1-23

Image
How many times God test Job? 2 times: 1st is in his family and 2nd the disease he has. Job here continues his discourse. Psalm 1:2 but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. Genesis 13:13 Now the people of Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against the LORD. 1 Corinthians 6:9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men Let us give thanks to the God for the problems or trials we encounter, cause it is the time we are convicted to get close to God.

"God Sees And He Knows" from Job 24:1-25

Image
Here Job ask; "why the wicked are not punished?" God allow trials on our lives to happen. We should be reminded that our lives is not only here on earth. Overall, God sees and knows so that He's name may be glorified. Also just like Job, we always say "why? Why? Why?". God has a purpose why it happen. Instead of asking why, ask why it happen? Men by nature are cheaters and robers. Church will really help us having fellowship, in our faith and walk with God. Foraging means making food. John 3:18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

"God Is For Us" from Job 23:1-17

Image
God will be there for you even if all is against you. Job is doing good, in fact he helps people and he has all things. And now his friends accusing Job all over again in this book again and again. Once you are bitter, you are not looking better for yourself. We need to surrender your problems to Jesus and don't keep it for surely you will become bitter. We should not be afraid to talk to God when you're bitter. 2 Corinthians 5:19-20 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. Job wanted to reconcile before God. Part of this book is The testing of Job's Life. Nature of men is we want to defend ourselves, but we should let God alone defend ourselves. In 1 John, you can see in this book that Jesus is our attor...

"The Deliverance Of The Lord" from Job 22:1-30

Image
Here Eliphaz insulted Jon that he is boasting that he is a good man, also Eliphaz described Job as a wicked man and Eliphaz described righteous and wicked. Verse 1-3, what are you good to God? Verse 4-11, Eliphaz described Job as a great wicked. Eliphaz says to Job are not true and we can see that he is not a good friend. Verse 12-20, a contrast between the wicked and the righteous. Verse 21-30, advice of Eliphaz to Job. Psalm 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

"A True Friend Helps" from Job 20:1-29

Image
It's hard for us to copy what Jesus did, to be a true friend. We have to be thoughtful to others. 1st pt. verse 1-16, a true friend loves at all times and 2nd pt. verse 17-29, do not forsake our friends. Maybe you encounter friends always talking about his problem, you should not be annoyed to them instead help them. Zophar said Job was a hypocrite of his sin. Mirth means laughter or fun. Dung means a fertilizer. This is true for those who rejected God, to a lot of famous nowadays. Although he was telling the truth somehow to Job but a true friend will help them in the trials. Amends means punishment. You should know that as Christians we will surely have hardships. John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Even though you have God it doesn't mean you will never have hardship. Some churches teaches if you have God in your life, you will always have bless...

"Serve God Wherever He Leads You" from Acts 11

Image
Pastor's Message John 1:4 In Him was light, and that life was the light of men. Do you want to have real life? A life that is meaningful? Full of joy and worth? I think everybody wants to have a kind of life. But the problem is that few people find that "life" - (new, change, renewed life) and most of all not many obtained Eternal life. John clearly expounded, that in Christ there is life, and this life is the "Light of men". In other words, Christ will clear our ways and will give us straight path, so that we'll not turn to right or to the left. Therefore, in Christ we'll have guidance and direction to reach our destination in Heaven for Jesus himself said: I am the Light of world, whoever follows me will never walk in the darkness. Happy Birthday Paul Lozada - Oct.10 Jaymarc Solivel - Oct.10 * * * Ministering activities are not just for Pastor's and church workers. Everybody can minister if the Spirit of God is in you. "He Will Never Turn His Back On You" from Job 19:1-28

Image
God prove here to Job that He will never leave us - for God is faithful. Psalm 118:8-9 8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humans. 9 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes. Trusting Jehovah, not trusting men. Job response to Eliphaz. It hurts our feelings whenever we hear insulting or words that are harsh. As a Christians, w/ brothers and sisters in Christ, we should always encourage one another and not to discourage. Psalm 64:3 They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim cruel words like deadly arrows. Job was humiliated by their words. Know that if you will cry to God, He will listened to you. It's not literally cry but if you put on your burden to God - know that He will comfort you. Shrouded means crowded. Like Jonathan in the old testament, If God is for us who can be against us. Even though we are separate from our friends, God will be there for us. Even though how you disobey, God's will for ...

"God Saving Grace" from Acts 10:9-48

Image
Pastor's Message Exodus 33:7 Now Moses used to take a tent and pitch it outside the camp some distance away, calling it the "tent of meeting." Anyone inquiring of the Lord would go to the tent of meeting outside the camp. The word tent ('ohel) denotes simply a tent, for the tabernacle was not built at this time. In the Old Testament, anyone or anybody would inquire the Lord before would go to the "tent of meeting". They have some set of guidelines to be able to inquire or ask the Lord. But isn't that a privilege for us mmy as believers to approach the "Throne of Grace" anytime and anywhere. And, let us take that chance every moment to pray and seek Jesus. Happy Birthday Marivic Castro - Sept. 30 Gemma Teves - Oct. 2 Teresita Tariman - Oct. 3 * * * We are one in Christ. As when God saves it doesn't mean you are a Jew, Pastor or someone perfect. God Reach us at Christ extent. The outcome of our commitment to God is through our p...

"God is our hope" from Job 17:1-16

Image
In the previous chapter 16, Job is so down in his self about what happened to them. You can see the pride in this book of Job. Romans 8:7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Hostility means Job's enemy. 1 Corinthians 11:8 For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; Job's points good and bad. We can also see the humility of Job and the most humiliate person is Jesus Christ. We can see that Job is hopeless of the circumstances he had, but be reminded that God is our only hope. Also Job wants to die but he still have little faith remains. Jesus alone brought life in us. ~~~

"He knows" from Job 16:1-22

Image
God knows what time you will wake up, God knows what you're going to say, in short God knows everything in you. But here the friends of Job acting and saying like they know all about Job. Here Job replied to Eliphaz, a non-stop conversation of Job's friend to him. Miserable means painful advice. As Christian's, we have to listen to Godly advice and not into the worldly thing. Job said, if you were in my place, I will encourage you. After fellowship you feel relieve. Gauntness narrowness. Assails means to attack figuratively. Jeer means to mock or boo. The experience of Jesus Christ - was mocked. Isaiah 50:6 I offered my back to those who beat me, my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard; I did not hide my face from mocking and spitting. Sack clothe picture of mourning. Life on earth is very short. You can find encouragement in the Lord, that's why you need to read God's word. And the Lord knows all your needs. ~~~

"Transformed to Serve" from Acts 9

Image
Transforming is going forward not backwards. To offer our body as living sacrifice to God. To renew our mind to be able to test and approve in God. Encouragement from God is eternal peace. So if you want encouragement learn God's word. Live to worship and live to love the Lord. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

"Life Is Short" from Job 14:1-22

Image
We must be aware that death will come to us and no one is exempted. John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Life is full of troubles. James 1:10 But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wild flower. James 4:14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Psalm 144:4 They are like a breath; their days are like a fleeting shadow. Man's days are determined. Hebrews 9:27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, We believers should not believe in Reincarnation. Once you die, you will surely face judgement. We cannot escape hardship in life. He will forgive and forget. Countenance means face or reflection. Life is short, and that is the reason - we should live here on earth worthy an...

"He Alone Has True Counsel And Understanding" from Job 12:1-25

Image
One of the highlights here at Job, is to prove what faith is. Here Job answer the accusation of Zophar. We should not be wise in our own eyes. 1st pt. verse 1-12 means like opinionated. James 3:15 Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. Isaiah 5:21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight. Inferior means low. Job defend himself that we are all equal and only God is the highest. You can learn on animals and creatures, of what their lives. Like the example of Jesus that we should be like birds, we should trust God just like them. Key verse: Job12:13 “To God belong wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are his. 2nd pt. verse 13-25. Psalm 147:5 Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. Proverbs 2:6-7 6 For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. 7 He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to thos...

"Considered God's Calling" Acts 8:26-40

Image
We have to considered God's calling. Like the song "The Shepherd of My Soul" "I give you full control wherever you may lead I will follow, I have made the choice to listen to your voice wherever you may lead I will go" Read God's word and listen to God's voice. Angel means messenger. If you have talent and money but not considering God's calling everything will be useless.. God is our teacher and all we have to do is read God's word to know what He wants you to do. Romans 10:14 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? Be sensitive to God's guidance.

"There Is No Condemnation In Christ" from Job 11:1-20

Image
We are the one that is supposed to be punished. But because of Jesus Christ who died on the cross, whomever follows Him will not be punished. Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, Now on his book, Zophar means sparrow or chirping. He was the youngest friend of Job. Vindicated means justified or blameless. When someone makes a mistake we should not condemn them quickly, instead we should pray for one another as one in Christ. John 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Two kinds of wisdom from James; focus on self and wisdom from God. When God forgives, He forget. God didn't blame us but loves us. James 1:9 Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. Psalm 103:10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. Isaiah 55:9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways h...

"We Have To Believe The History" From Acts 7:1-16

Image
Psalm Reading Psalm 63 1 You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. 2 I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. 3 Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. 4 I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. 5 I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you. 6 On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. 7 Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. 8 I cling to you; your right hand upholds me. 9 Those who want to kill me will be destroyed; they will go down to the depths of the earth. 10 They will be given over to the sword and become food for jackals. 11 But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by God will glory in him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced. * * *

"We Have To Believe The History" From Acts 7:1-16

Image
We should know the lifestyle in history as this is the fact. In our school, we also have the History subject. And our professor would say that history can only be 95% accurate. But in the Bible, God's word is 100% right. We should know the Bible in our mind, heart and implement it in our life. During Adam, Eve and Abraham's time they don't have the Bible but they can hear God's voice. Today we read the scriptures to hear God's word and listen to that still small voice. Genesis 12:1 New International Version (NIV) The Call of Abram 12 The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. Stephen explain here that God will guide us if we let Him. Due to Abraham disbelief that he could have a son, he went to Hagai (Sarah maid servant) and had a son which became the Muslim descendants, and Sarah got Isaac the promise child where Jesus came from. The covenant before was to bring burnt offeri...

"We Need God" from Job 9:1-35

Image
In our life we encounter many hopeless moments and during those times we should not doubt God but we must put our trust in Him. On this chapter, Job replied to what Bildad "We should acknowledge that God is so powerful in His ways". Joshua 10:13 So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies,as it is written in the Book of Jashar. The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day. That is one of God's power because He created the Heaven and the Earth. It's better not to question God, and to realize that God is just and merciful. The book of Job have many things to we need to learn. Faith is the key to overcome all trials that we encounter. ~~~

"Hold On" from Job 8:1-22

Image
The book of Job has some questions: Why the righteous man suffer? Some say that this is the oldest book. We are not sure if Job is the author of this book or some say - Moses. Hold on to God even if everybody are against you. Job was looking for comfort and yet his friends blame him. This is also the same as "We cannot please everybody". Bildad did what Eliphaz says to Job. The argument of Bildad here is "if you are innocent God loves you and if not God don't love you". Remember that Jesus died for us sinners. There's blessing in obedience but God still love's us despite being disobedient.

"The Choosing Of The Seven" from Acts 6:1-7

Image
"The Choosing Of The Seven" from Acts 6:1-7 The balance... How do we find the balance in life? It's important to find the balance in our family and ministry life. On this chapter we will find that people will complain because they feel neglected as thier widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. The disciples here were so busy that they are neglecting the word of God. Posting God is spending time with Him and reading the scriptures and listening to God's reply.

The Choosing Of The Seven from Acts 6:1-7

Image
The balance... To find the balance in life - It's important to also find the balance in our family and ministry life. On this chapter we will find that people will complain because they feel neglected as thier widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. The disciples here were so busy that they are neglecting the word of God. Acts 2:42 42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. We are called to serve but we must know our calling. When he called you to be a student don't excuse that you need to absent because you need to do the ministry. What are the requirements to serve God: Full of the Spirit - be filled with Holy Spirit. Full of wisdom - the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and to have relationship with Him, reading God's word. When we are called in the ministry don't think its easy. Don't think you can do everything you want. Colossians 4:17 N...

"Look to God" from from Job 7:1-21

Image
We need to study God's word. The word "I" was said 19 times, means that Job must look to himself. In this chapter he look to himself, and asked questions to God. We can learn from the life of Job, his failures but overall he was blameless. Job here answered Eliphaz. Do we have the hard time serving the Lord? Our lives is full of hardship and challenges. We are more blessed than Job because we have the complete scripture and yet we doubt God. We should read the Bible everyday just like an everyday meal and not just something we eat occasionally. In verse 1-5, Job's nights have insomnia - overwhelmed with fears. Isaiah 40:6-7 6 A voice says, “Cry out.” And I said, “What shall I cry?”“All people are like grass, and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field. 7 The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the LORD blows on them. Surely the people are grass. 1 Peter 1:13 Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set ...

"Be A Godly Comforter" from Job 5:1-27

Image
In the book of Job, we will learn about suffering that we ourselves encountered. We have our own suffering that God has given. Never blame someone who has trials in their life. But, comfort them with love. Suffering started from Adam and Eve when they commit sin upon eating the Fruit of the Spirit. Job friends' blame him that he has committed sin because the sufferings that he encountered. Every trials that God has given has a purpose, it determines how faithful you are to Him by trusting God. If you have sin you should go in the presence of God, humble yourself and repent. But on this book it says that Job has not done anything wrong yet God gave him suffering. If you have God in your life, you should have joy in the trials. God is there for us in all trials, that's how mighty God is if you have faith. We should be a comforter. ~~~

"God Works That We Don't Understand" from Job 4:1-21

Image
Talks about Punishment. God is with Job and He has a plan in the life of Job. Never lose hope. The first point, we have to hold on and second point - God is just. Eliphaz, one of the friends of Job. Job also sacrifice for his children. Sometimes were discourage to the things around us, just like Job, and he wants to die. God works in us in every situation of our lives. Dismayed means frustrated. We should not be like Eliphaz. God disciplined Job to his trust and faith in Him. Psalm 145:14 The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. 1 Thessalonians 5:14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Hebrews 12:12 Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. If you sow wickedness, you will reap wickedness. If you marry, you will surely experience suffering. Job although he is good in the eyes of the Lord, but he also suffer. It is not t...

"Be Honest To God" from Job 3:1-26

Image
The first point; God is righteous even trials. Second point; stay committed even in trials. As believers, we are like Sponge sometimes absorbing the word of God, but once trials come squeezing the water, it will flow. And as you can see, All the possessions of Job have gone astray. But Job did not cursed God. In verse 1-10, Job was complaining his birth. Didn't we ask sometimes to ourselves, that you wish you were not born? Just like Job? Maybe your answer is Yes! Because we all know how painful to live in this world. If you experiencing problem in life, you feel the darkness of it. God gave us sickness once a year, gave us poverty once in our life and gave us grace by His love instead of judging us more. And that's how we should be thankful. Know that God is our light. Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley,[a] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Leviathan means a picture of the devil. Why did ...

"Be Used By God" from Acts 4:13-22

Image
The book of Luke and Acts are written by Luke. And he is used by God as well as all the other disciples. So if you're used by God, don't think of your background. But willingly used by Him to serve Him. 1st pt. in verse 13-17, We have to be courageous and 2nd pt. in verse 18-22, God is our strength and help. Peter and John are courageous to be used by God, and they proclaimed Jesus as the Messiah. Every word in the Bible will surely happen. Don't hesitate if you have no degree, because just like the disciples they were fisherman's but now became apostles proclaiming the good news to the people. The key to be used by God, is to really spend time with Jesus. Meaning to spend time with His word and that's the secret. The Bible said, God choose the foolish to shame the wise and choose the weak to sham the strong. When it comes to being used by God, do not boast what you did. Christians like Jesus, needs His mind not your own mind. Absorb Jesus nature of what Hi...

"We Are Victorious" from Esther 9:1-32 and Esther 10:1-3

Image
Why was Haman - angry with Mordecai? 1 Samuel 15:18 And he sent you on a mission, saying, ‘Go and completely destroy those wicked people, the Amalekites; wage war against them until you have wiped them out.’ Obedience is better than sacrifice. We can see this on verse 1-5, And, victory with a help of a King. We as humans are victorious by the help of God. Haman made the law that "Jews should be killed". And on another chapter, they made 2 laws. The enemy of the Jews to carried out like a Civilian War. Romans 8:33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. What situation in the Bible that has twist? It was about Joseph and Paul story. If we love the worldly things much more than God then you are His enemy. Haman means self righteous. Galatians 5:19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 2 Peter 1:5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to good...

"God Will Turn Your Hardships Into Blessings" from Esther 8:1-17

Image
More purely historical than any other scriptures. When we have hardships in life we should never give up. Because God will turn your hardships into blessings. Estate means land, assets or properties. Proverbs 13:22 A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous. God will continue to provide even though we experience hardships in life, we know that God will give hope in us. The King took off his ring, and gave the authority to Esther to replace Haman's position. Esther and Mordecai experienced hardships at first, but God turn it into blessings. His glorious blessings is in Christ our Lord Jesus. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord. Just like what happened here to the Jews, they should be killed, but God saved and helped them. Dispatches means sealed, sent out or mail. As God's children, God's favor it's not our ri...

"He Will Meet Your Needs" from Acts 3:1-10

Image
Prayer is important. According to the word of God in the book of Daniel - Daniel prayed 3-times a day 9:00am, 3:00pm and 6:00pm We can pray on any languages - God does not require us to pray one language. Luke 24:53 (NIV) 53 And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God. Everyday the apostle continue to meet together in prayer. Temple is the place were we can together worship God and praise Him. Paul emphasizes to use our body as Holy and pleasing to God. To worship the Lord and study God's words. God will meet our deepest needs. Psalm 55:17 (NIV) 17 Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice. In spiritual sense we are crippled by our sins and beggars from God's saving grace. God's mercy never ends. If you don't acknowledge God, you will become crippled and will never be satisfied. Nobody can be satisfied with worldly things because even if you can have all the material things of this world but it will never sa...

"We are protected " from Esther 7:1-10

Image
Whenever we disobey, we will see the consequences. God is always answering our prayer it can be yes, no or wait. As children of God, we are chosen by God. And, the key to everything is fellowship. D.E.V.O.T.E - D-edicate, E-ncourage, V-alue, O-bey, T-hanksgiving, E-ternity. In all of these things, God is working. The King made a decision to hang Haman. It goes back to Mordecai that should be given to him. Pride will lead us to destruction. We are nothing but by the grace of God. Put on humility, sensitivity, God's power in us and put off pride. Hatred will be punished. Psalm 7:15 Whoever digs a hole and scoops it out falls into the pit they have made. Proverbs 26:27 Whoever digs a pit will fall into it; if someone rolls a stone, it will roll back on them. God has an incredible way in destroying our enemy. Remember all the things that God told you, we are protected by God. ~~~

"God will Bless And Reward You" from Esther 6:1-14

Image
In every ministry that we do even in small things, God will reward you. He will not forget your works. Chronicles means history. It has been clear here that King Xerxes seldom read. As believers reading some time God's word He will reward you even in listening to HIS instructions. In all things God's work in us. We should protect our selves from pride. Learn to be servant of all. You should be patient and wait that God will reward you in time. Proverbs 18:12 Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor. Hebrews 6:10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We have to do things for the Lord but be faithful. Mordecai remains humble and down to earth for he get back to the King's gate where he come from. We have to always stay humble. Luke 14:11 For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalt...

"Present Your Request" from Esther 5:1-14

Image
On this chapter we will see that in verse 1-8, are the story about Esther. And, in verse 9-14 are the story about Haman. This is to differentiate between Faith and Hatred. Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. We are blessed cause we have God that we can lean on every time we have problem. Like the foot prints in the sand. In verse 1-5, Esther request for banquet. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. In our prayer, the answer of God is Yes, No and Wait. Do not conform what the image of the world. "Let the Holy Spirit Dwell In Your Life" from Acts 2:147

Image
The first point in this chapter is to let God work in our life. And, the second point is God will use you. Tongues of fire here is the Holy Spirit. Pentecost was the Jewish family celebration. Deuteronomy 4:24 For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. The meaning of fire in the Bible is to specify God. John 14:26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Acts 1:4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. "Cry Out To Him" from Esther 4:1-17

Image
We should always cry out for God. He is not deaf. God is working in the life of Mordecai and Esther. The first point we must know on this chapter is that there's hope and the second is not to fear. When we are so down on our problems, it's like torring the clothes of Mordecai. Through the sorrow and the pain, we should always and remain praising God. Also, the decision was made, that's why Mordecai mourn. He doesn't want the Jews to perish. We have to pray to those who mourn and need help, prayer is powerful, pray for those who are in need. We are family consider your churchmate's as a family member. Annihilation means total destruction. As for us Christians, we can come to God anytime, through the blood of Jesus. We should always cry out to Him. ~~~

"Stand Firm" from Esther 3:1-15

Image
The first point: to stand for what is right. And, the second point: surely there will be hope! Our protection is our relationship with the Lord - to stand firm on the rock, and our rock is Jesus. Knowing you stand firm for what is right, there is hope for the hopeless. Haman is sometimes like the Anti-christ here in this book, he's like Satan that wants to kill the Jews to rule the world. The Bible say's that worship God only, and Mordecai do the right thing. For us, God is the only one who will be worship. Make Him number one in your life. We should relate ourselves to the Jews - that worship one God. The same thing to us that Jesus is the one we will worship. We will never be shaken if we stand for what is right. Temptation's and pressure's to bow down to Idol's is our day after day struggle, just like here in Mordecai that they daily ask him why he didn't kneel for Haman. Satan enraged when people will not bow down to him just like Haman. We will ...

"He's Working In You" from Esther 2:1-23

Image
These three books; Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther have the same stories. Esther is the 1st book among the three. And, the reason for their exile is their own sin. The author of Esther is unknown. Esther is purely historical among other manuscripts, as there's no "God" word mentioned in this book but you can see by understanding that God, is the main point in this story. In verse 1-14, God has a good plan; and in verse 15-23, He will bless His people. Here in verse 1-4, the plan to look for a new Queen doesn't matter either rich or poor - can become a queen. Citadel means place of refuge, fortress or a place to protect them. It's like taking a daily bath - to be cleanse by the word of God. One of the characteristics of Esther is being humble. Hadassah is the other name of Esther. The picture of Mordecai here is just like God, in reality we are being Fatherless and he is taking the responsibility for Esther. 2 Corinthians 6:18 And, “I will be a Father to ...

"Honor His Word" from Nehemiah 13:1-31

Image
In celebration of "Araw ng Dabaw" fiesta in Davao City, the Mayor ordered "gun banned" to maintain peace in every area. As for us, we should obey God's word. The first point, is to be consistent with His word. In the book of Numbers, Balaam was a curse by the Israelites. But that curse turns into blessing. The reason for learning God's word is because just like Jesus, He was a curse for some but made a blessing for all of us. Nowadays, the world is corrupt and pervert. Jesus is the light of the world whoever follows Him will never be led into darkness. Psalm 19:7-11 7 The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. 8 The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. 9 The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous.10 They are more precious th...

"Live A Life Of Worship" from Nehemiah 12:1-47

Image
Dedicate this 2012 as a life of worship to Him alone. Living a life of worship begins to us. As representatives of God we should set example to everyone. If you are a father, teach your family to spend time and feeding them by the word of God. Don't allow yourselves to be caught up in work, but spend time with your family. Ezra means help, a priest and a scribe. Levite's were like assistant pastors, they are the back up of the priest and also they are the one who prepare the things for the priest. We are encourage to praise God. Spending time with Him and you will learned a lot. Annals means history. The word thanks or thanksgiving are mention in this chapter so many times. Psalm 134:1-3 Praise the LORD, all you servants of the LORD who minister by night in the house of the LORD. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the LORD.3 May the LORD bless you from Zion, he who is the Maker of heaven and earth. Amazing that in the Bible it was never mentioned that you...

"God Demonstrate A Great Sacrifice" from Matthew 27:45-61

Image
Taj Mahal was built for the Love of a man to his wife. It was a huge sacrifice. Jesus was the living sacrifice. He received all the pain that was supposed to be for us. Without holiness no one can see God. God separate himself to Jesus because he is now getting all the sins of the world in some sense God allow this to happen in order to save us. Psalm 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. Hebrews 5:7 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. In our walk with the Lord we also need to sacrifice our time and effort. Humility is thinking of others and not himself only. Jesus was the perfect attonement. Christ is now opening the gate of heaven to all the believers. Turn to Isaiah 53:9-12 We will see that the good shepherd lay down his life for his sheep. Hebrews 9:14 How much more, then, will the blood of Chris...

"Be Faithful To Obey Your Promise" from Nehemiah 10:1-39

Image
2 points in this teaching ; in verses 1-29, the sign or agreement of the covenant and in verses 30-39, obligation of the covenant. Be faithful to God when it comes to our relationship. Be faithful to God when it comes doing business. Be faithful to God when it comes supporting God's work. Nowadays, who is your seal today? It is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is our down payment from the Lord in our salvation. As Christians we should be a role model to everyone. Deuteronomy 28:1-14 Blessings for Obedience 1 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2 All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God: 3 You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. 4 The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your f...

"Praying Together Stays Together" from Nehemiah 9:1-38

Image
If you have friend who continue to sin, what will you do? Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. In this chapter, it all talks about old testament. In the Pentateuch books, was the first sin of man from Adam. Then, the rainbow reminded Noah of His promise that He will not going to flood the Earth again. Then in Abraham have two sons, Ismael and Isaac. And then Joseph became the priest in Egypt. Genesis means beginning, Exodus means exit. Leviticus is walk in instruction. Numbers is the walk of faithfulness. Deuteronomy is the second land. From verse 1-4, brokenness of heart; 5-32, the goodness of God; and 33-38. We Christians should be separated from this world. Some Israelite's are reading God's word, while some worshiping God. Abraham means father of exalted. Egypt was a symbol of sin. God said if...

"Learn and Obey" from Nehemiah 8:1-18

Image
Nehemiah 8:8, is a compound memory verse in the Bible. We all know that junk foods are not good for the body. This is the same when you're with the worldly things, wanting the desire it, these are comparable to eating junk foods. And it will be hard for us to obey God's word because the worldly things gets in the way. It is more relevant that we should be more interested in God's word. The two main points in this chapter are; in verse 1-12, we should learn God's word attentively. And, in verse 13-18, we should apply what we learn and want to hear. Now, what we need to hear are the five books, or Pentateuch - the Torah. We need to desire to hear God's word and this is the commandment of God. "Attentively" means carefully you need to be interested. We must read our Bible and listen attentively. Revelation 2:29 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. These people are supporting Nehemiah in verse 4. One of the Bible Teac...

"Live with Integrity" from Nehemiah 7:1-73

Image
Integrity means being honest with God and do "what you have said to do". We have to live with Integrity. In verse 1-38, every individual must live in truth. In verse 39-73, live in impurity. One of the marks of an individual who lives in truth, when he or she continue the work. In our Christian walk in the Lord, we must also have perseverance. Citadel means fortress. Key verse in this chapter is in verse 2, "..because he was a man of integrity and feared God more than most men do." Change is an optional and we should allow ourselves to live with integrity. 1 Corinthians 4:2 Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. 2 Timothy 2:2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others. We need to follow the example of Job, Moses and Nehemiah. Integrity really lacks in a Christian life. Nehemiah instructed the people to have guards, to prot...
