"A True Friend Helps" from Job 20:1-29

It's hard for us to copy what Jesus did, to be a true friend. We have to be thoughtful to others.
1st pt. verse 1-16, a true friend loves at all times and
2nd pt. verse 17-29, do not forsake our friends.

Maybe you encounter friends always talking about his problem, you should not be annoyed to them instead help them. Zophar said Job was a hypocrite of his sin.

Mirth means laughter or fun. Dung means a fertilizer. This is true for those who rejected God, to a lot of famous nowadays. Although he was telling the truth somehow to Job but a true friend will help them in the trials.

Amends means punishment. You should know that as Christians we will surely have hardships.

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Even though you have God it doesn't mean you will never have hardship. Some churches teaches if you have God in your life, you will always have blessings and no problems in life but it's not true. Here the words of Zophar are not helpful to Job.

Psalm 44:20-21 20 If we had forgotten the name of our God
or spread out our hands to a foreign god,
21 would not God have discovered it,
since he knows the secrets of the heart?

All the things in the world will not last forever. As a Christians, we should set things on what is unseen. The attitude of Zophar and other friends of Job is not a true friend of him. Because a true friend will encourage not discourage.

Nice Christian Life Experiences
