"Do Everything In Love" from 1 Corinthians 16:1-24

Image
Today is one of our churchmate birthday! And, baby dedication of Josiah Adonairam Cada, son of Luke Cada and Abigail Cada. Now, for my notes in today's service: Give because you love, and without string attached. Not just tithes and offering, but in everything. On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made. 1 Corinthians 16:2 Looking back to what Paul said we should give in Love. Romans 12:13 (NIV) 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Hebrews 6:10 (NIV) 10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. 1 John 3:17 (NIV) 17 If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Jesus used His time to visit His people. Time is li...

"Remember Jesus" from 1 Corinthians 11:17-26

Image
Remember this saying "Better open rebuke than hidden love". And, encourage one another. When we gather together, make sure we are not pointing fingers to them. Let's talk about good things and positive things. Why do we have division? 1Co 3:3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men? 1Co 6:1 If any of you has a dispute with another, dare he take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the saints? When we have problems we must settle it as believers not to ask counsel to unbelievers. Learn to say sorry. There are many division in the church. Jesus is the reason why we come together as a church. The same thing to us today Let's do it in remembrance of Him. Calvanist - salvation is not by Work. Once we are save you're save.

"I Struggle With Sin" from Romans 7:14-25

Image
Be honest before God that we are struggling with sin. The law is spiritual. It is God's way to change people but it's not the way to save man. What is the greatest commandment? Love the Lord your God with all of your heart. How to know if you're are worldly: What do you think, want the most? How do you use your money? What do you do in free time? Who are the company you enjoy the most? Who are the people you admire? What are the things you admire? Where do you spend your free time? We struggle in so many things before God. Romans 7:15-17 (NIV) 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. Isaiah 50:1 (NIV) Israel’s Sin and the Servant’s Obedience 50 This is what the Lord says: “Where is your mother’s certificate of divorce with which I sent her away? Or to w...

"Control Our Worldly Desires" from Romans 7:7-13

Image
Envy and Lust are sin. The meaning of: Concupiscence desire, Rom. 7:8 (R.V., "coveting"); Col. 3:5 (R.V., "desire"). The "lust of concupiscence" (1 Thess. 4:5; R.V., "passion of lust") denotes evil desire, indwelling sin. without the law sin is dead. for without the law there are no transgressions. Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. James 1:14-16 (NIV) 14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. 16 Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. Hebrews 3:13 New International Version (NIV) 13 But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you ...

"We are All Guilty" from Romans 3:9-20

Image
Romans 3:10 As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; Don't quick to judge for you may be doing the same way as them. we should not offer our body to sins. but offer it to God as instrument. We are all sinners. Psalm 14:1 The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. Psalm 14:2 The LORD looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. Psalm 14:3 All have turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one. Woe to a man to thinks evil while he ia still in bed. By nature we are not seekers of God. No one plans to be Godly. Abiding means staying with God. Pray to let our tongue be tame by the Holy Spirit. And, guide us in everyday decisions.

"Leave Out Your Beliefs" from Romans 2:17-24

Image
The Jews are said to be in the "high status" because they were the chosen ones and the Messiah came from their blood lines. They also have the law and are boastful of it. But do all of them have the good character? Remember that it's not all about facts but character counts. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Psalm 147:19 He has revealed his word to Jacob, his laws and decrees to Israel. 20 He has done this for no other nation; they do not know his laws. Praise the LORD. Anyone who knows the good doesn't do it is = sins. We have law of God Psalm 119:99 I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes. 100 I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts.

"You Must Not Do What They Do" from Romans 1:26-28

Image
The world says follow your heart but the Bible says Prov. 28:26 Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe. immorality are everywhere Ephesians 4:19 Ephesians 4:19 (NIV) 19 Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed. Truth without Love is hypocrisy; Love without Truth is brutality. Leviticus 18:22-27 22 “‘Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable. 23 “‘Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself with it. A woman must not present herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it; that is a perversion. 24 “‘Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled. 25 Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants. 26 But you must keep my decrees and my la...

"God is our hope" from Job 17:1-16

Image
In the previous chapter 16, Job is so down in his self about what happened to them. You can see the pride in this book of Job. Romans 8:7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Hostility means Job's enemy. 1 Corinthians 11:8 For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; Job's points good and bad. We can also see the humility of Job and the most humiliate person is Jesus Christ. We can see that Job is hopeless of the circumstances he had, but be reminded that God is our only hope. Also Job wants to die but he still have little faith remains. Jesus alone brought life in us. ~~~

"We Need God" from Job 9:1-35

Image
In our life we encounter many hopeless moments and during those times we should not doubt God but we must put our trust in Him. On this chapter, Job replied to what Bildad "We should acknowledge that God is so powerful in His ways". Joshua 10:13 So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies,as it is written in the Book of Jashar. The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day. That is one of God's power because He created the Heaven and the Earth. It's better not to question God, and to realize that God is just and merciful. The book of Job have many things to we need to learn. Faith is the key to overcome all trials that we encounter. ~~~

"Hold On" from Job 8:1-22

Image
The book of Job has some questions: Why the righteous man suffer? Some say that this is the oldest book. We are not sure if Job is the author of this book or some say - Moses. Hold on to God even if everybody are against you. Job was looking for comfort and yet his friends blame him. This is also the same as "We cannot please everybody". Bildad did what Eliphaz says to Job. The argument of Bildad here is "if you are innocent God loves you and if not God don't love you". Remember that Jesus died for us sinners. There's blessing in obedience but God still love's us despite being disobedient.

The Choosing Of The Seven from Acts 6:1-7

Image
The balance... To find the balance in life - It's important to also find the balance in our family and ministry life. On this chapter we will find that people will complain because they feel neglected as thier widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. The disciples here were so busy that they are neglecting the word of God. Acts 2:42 42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. We are called to serve but we must know our calling. When he called you to be a student don't excuse that you need to absent because you need to do the ministry. What are the requirements to serve God: Full of the Spirit - be filled with Holy Spirit. Full of wisdom - the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and to have relationship with Him, reading God's word. When we are called in the ministry don't think its easy. Don't think you can do everything you want. Colossians 4:17 N...

"Be Honest To God" from Job 3:1-26

Image
The first point; God is righteous even trials. Second point; stay committed even in trials. As believers, we are like Sponge sometimes absorbing the word of God, but once trials come squeezing the water, it will flow. And as you can see, All the possessions of Job have gone astray. But Job did not cursed God. In verse 1-10, Job was complaining his birth. Didn't we ask sometimes to ourselves, that you wish you were not born? Just like Job? Maybe your answer is Yes! Because we all know how painful to live in this world. If you experiencing problem in life, you feel the darkness of it. God gave us sickness once a year, gave us poverty once in our life and gave us grace by His love instead of judging us more. And that's how we should be thankful. Know that God is our light. Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley,[a] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Leviathan means a picture of the devil. Why did ...

"Be Used By God" from Acts 4:13-22

Image
The book of Luke and Acts are written by Luke. And he is used by God as well as all the other disciples. So if you're used by God, don't think of your background. But willingly used by Him to serve Him. 1st pt. in verse 13-17, We have to be courageous and 2nd pt. in verse 18-22, God is our strength and help. Peter and John are courageous to be used by God, and they proclaimed Jesus as the Messiah. Every word in the Bible will surely happen. Don't hesitate if you have no degree, because just like the disciples they were fisherman's but now became apostles proclaiming the good news to the people. The key to be used by God, is to really spend time with Jesus. Meaning to spend time with His word and that's the secret. The Bible said, God choose the foolish to shame the wise and choose the weak to sham the strong. When it comes to being used by God, do not boast what you did. Christians like Jesus, needs His mind not your own mind. Absorb Jesus nature of what Hi...

"God will Bless And Reward You" from Esther 6:1-14

Image
In every ministry that we do even in small things, God will reward you. He will not forget your works. Chronicles means history. It has been clear here that King Xerxes seldom read. As believers reading some time God's word He will reward you even in listening to HIS instructions. In all things God's work in us. We should protect our selves from pride. Learn to be servant of all. You should be patient and wait that God will reward you in time. Proverbs 18:12 Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor. Hebrews 6:10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We have to do things for the Lord but be faithful. Mordecai remains humble and down to earth for he get back to the King's gate where he come from. We have to always stay humble. Luke 14:11 For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalt...

"Present Your Request" from Esther 5:1-14

Image
On this chapter we will see that in verse 1-8, are the story about Esther. And, in verse 9-14 are the story about Haman. This is to differentiate between Faith and Hatred. Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. We are blessed cause we have God that we can lean on every time we have problem. Like the foot prints in the sand. In verse 1-5, Esther request for banquet. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. In our prayer, the answer of God is Yes, No and Wait. Do not conform what the image of the world. Psalm 37:4 Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Jeremiah 33:3 ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ Petition also means request. Hebrews 5:7 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petit...

"Let the Holy Spirit Dwell In Your Life" from Acts 2:147

Image
The first point in this chapter is to let God work in our life. And, the second point is God will use you. Tongues of fire here is the Holy Spirit. Pentecost was the Jewish family celebration. Deuteronomy 4:24 For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. The meaning of fire in the Bible is to specify God. John 14:26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Acts 1:4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. Jeremiah 23:29 “Is not my word like fire,” declares the LORD, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces? Malachi 3:3 He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the LORD will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness, The Ap...

"Be Conform to The Likeness of Christ" from Matthew 23:13-39

Image
How do we conform into the likeness of Christ? Developed through christian character. God want us to experience Saints spiritual surgery. Always come to Him. The pharisees are careful to keep their outside character very clean but God sees the heart. Search your heart what is your motive? Aim for purity. How terrible it would be to say you're Holy and Right? Jesus condemn the pharisees for they have thier own doctrines and ways to enter heaven and by that false teaching prevent man to accept Jesus Christ. It's not about religion, it's about relationship with God. The most hardest thing to remove to any person are thier tradition and religious beliefs. We should not copy the example of the pharisees. They keep the people from going to the kingdom of heaven. They can cover up lies. Know the difference between Sinful anger and righteous anger. Don't swear anymore. Let your yes be yes and no be no. Don't break the oath keep the oath you have with the Lord James 5:12 Abo...

"He Choose You" from Ezra 8:1-36

Image
Can you imagine if Filipinos choose a swimmer who only knew dog style swim to represent our country? No! Just for us Christians we should be really a good representative of God. God choose you because of His grace and love. Why did God choose Ezra? Overall God is gracious. The Bible tells us that God already choose us before the creation of the world. Isn't we are blessed that God already choose us before we exist. Romans 8:28-29 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. Strengths and Accomplishment of Ezra: 1. He observe God's word 2. He led the second group of exiles 3. He is concern keeping about the details of commandments of God. Psalm 1:1-2 1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take ...

"Don't Act Like a Pharisees" from Matthew 23:1-12

Image
What should be done: We should apply what we have learned. Be a real minister. The main focus in service to God is to Himself not to you. That's why you don't act like a pharisees. Moses is the most humble in the mankind of history. Many people look very good and kind to others but deep inside they are just doing it for a purpose. What good is it? for they don't have the heart for God. These people will honor from thier lips but they are far from me. Luke 11:43 “Woe to you Pharisees, because you love the most important seats in the synagogues and respectful greetings in the marketplaces. Whatever that comes out of your mouth make sure you can do it. We should do what we teach. Ministry not showmistry. When you pray - with sincerity. Be careful not to do your act of righteousness to be seen by man for you will not inherit the treasure in heaven. Even in preaching they preach in envy and rivalry. Be remind do nothing out of selfish ambition. Phylacteries - boxes containing v...
