"Obey HIS Words" from James 1:17-27

There were two sons and their father let them make a garden - each of them promise they will do it. Then the father went to his journey. When he came back and saw no improvement, no garden, he asks the first son, "What did you do?" the son replied "nothing". (He was honest)

Then he asks the second son "what did you do?” the son pauses for awhile and said "I helped my brother". (He was lying)

And so it's impossible to pleased God without receiving the grace. We should be thankful to every gift we have... the talents etc.. It's all by the gift of God.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Born again is relationship with God not religion it is on how you repent on your sins and not do it again. It's how your relationship from God. We need to be sincere. Demonstrate inward faith through outward actions.

1 John 3:9 whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remained in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Proverbs 10:19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.



Proverbs 18:13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.



Proverbs 16:32 He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.

Always think before we speak.

Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

Put off old character. Listen and be teachable.

Be healthy with conversation. It is important to have love.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Stick to the word of God. Go back to the basic and have a teachable heart.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Examine yourself to see whether you are in the faith; test yourself. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you - unless of course you fail to the test?

We need to have relationship with the Lord and NOT religion; Christianity is not religion; God reaches us we need to have loving relationship - walk in love and walking in spirit

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.

God looks in our heart and not on the outside.
Calvary Chapel is not religion but a relationship with God.

1 John 1:6 And this is love. That we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.
Our love for God is manifested in our walk and obedience to His Word. We must show our love for God by obeying Him. Let us walk in love and in spirit each and everyday.
