"Be Devoted in Your Prayers" from James 5:13-20

A child prayed and the elder heard him saying "Dear God thank you for the food. Amen" then the elders corrected him and said "when you pray you must mean it with your heart."
and so the next time the child prayed and said "Dear God thank you for the food... I mean it, I mean it with my heart thank you. Amen"

Devote is to hold in our mind and to be constant in prayers without ceasing. Pray for one another.
Psalm 56:3 When I am afraid I will trust in you.

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

Faith that works. Prayers and praising God.

Matthew 21:21-22 Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. 22If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."

Pray and serve to God. Prayers are universal even if your prayers are not answered continue to pray.

Psalm 145:18 The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
Psalm 34:15 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry;

1 Peter 4:7 The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray.

Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.

1 Timothy 4:16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

Colossians 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

Better to open rebuke than hidden love.
