"Remember Your Salvation" from 1 Peter 1-12

The theme of Peter is suffering thus this book is about encouragement.
Matthew 4:18 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.

When we are discourage remember your salvation, remember the time when you are saved and it will help us endure our trials. Sometimes we are weak but remember HIS love for us.

Elohim = is plural God -The Father - The Son and - The Holy Spirit
John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.

Romans 8:29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

Many trials may come but always remember the salvation - trials teaches patience.

"Appreciate HIS Blessings" from 2 Kings 4

At the mall economist research very well what will make people keep on coming back... they found out it was to tell their worker and employees to say "Thank you for coming" to their customers.

There are so many things we can thank God.

Never give up and never stop to do what is right.
Sometimes not being thankful can cause us to be tired.
Tell to God
Increase your faith
Refresh your life/soul
Endure and continue
Do it for God

Appreciate wisdom. Give thanks to God everyday.

"Be Devoted in Your Prayers" from James 5:13-20

A child prayed and the elder heard him saying "Dear God thank you for the food. Amen" then the elders corrected him and said "when you pray you must mean it with your heart."
and so the next time the child prayed and said "Dear God thank you for the food... I mean it, I mean it with my heart thank you. Amen"

Devote is to hold in our mind and to be constant in prayers without ceasing. Pray for one another.
Psalm 56:3 When I am afraid I will trust in you.

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

Faith that works. Prayers and praising God.

Matthew 21:21-22 Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. 22If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."

Pray and serve to God. Prayers are universal even if your prayers are not answered continue to pray.

Psalm 145:18 The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
Psalm 34:15 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry;

1 Peter 4:7 The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray.

Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.

1 Timothy 4:16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

Colossians 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

Better to open rebuke than hidden love.

We all need the love of God and developed that love.
1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.

Forgiving is the act of wisdom. Open the heart to seek God's wisdom.
The wisdom of the world will make you proud but the wisdom of God is pure...

Seek God first and all these things will be added unto you.
James 4:3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

"Think about the Lord" from James 5:1-20

How did Isaac Newton discovered gravity?
by thinking about it all the time.

To help us think about the Lord all the time is to be careful with the riches of the world.

1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

We need to be mindful about god more than the possession.

We are not thinking about ourselves but think about the Lord, and all our possession will be none sense...

Matthew 6:19 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

The true rich people in this world are the content people.
2 Timothy 3:1-4 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—

Malachi 3:5 "So I will come near to you for judgment. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers, against those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive aliens of justice, but do not fear me," says the LORD Almighty.

Colossians 4:1 Masters, provide your slaves with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven.

We need to be on guard against self indulgence. Watch you habits that become your character.

If we are meditating the word of God it will show in our actions.

Luke 16 The Parable of the Shrewd Manager
1Jesus told his disciples: "There was a rich man whose manager was accused of wasting his possessions. 2So he called him in and asked him, 'What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your management, because you cannot be manager any longer.'

3"The manager said to himself, 'What shall I do now? My master is taking away my job. I'm not strong enough to dig, and I'm ashamed to beg— 4I know what I'll do so that, when I lose my job here, people will welcome me into their houses.'

5"So he called in each one of his master's debtors. He asked the first, 'How much do you owe my master?'

6" 'Eight hundred gallons[a] of olive oil,' he replied.
"The manager told him, 'Take your bill, sit down quickly, and make it four hundred.'

7"Then he asked the second, 'And how much do you owe?'
" 'A thousand bushels[b] of wheat,' he replied.
"He told him, 'Take your bill and make it eight hundred.'

8"The master commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light. 9I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.

10"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. 11So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? 12And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else's property, who will give you property of your own?

13"No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money."

14The Pharisees, who loved money, heard all this and were sneering at Jesus. 15He said to them, "You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of men, but God knows your hearts. What is highly valued among men is detestable in God's sight.

Be on guard against temptation, just be content, don't compare yourself to others.

Be patient and don't seel your belongings but instead be a good steward.

Be faithful to God's word.
Hebrews 13:7 Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.

Lamentations 3:22 Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.

Psalm 145:8 The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.

James 1:2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds,

A lier will always swear. So never make a promise.
Matthew 5:33 "Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not break your oath, but keep the oaths you have made to the Lord.'

"Be Firm" from 1 Kings 2

There are many influence in our world today, like piracy of CD, as long as you don't steal the CD then its ok? No, it's wrong. The world will make wrong right and right wrong.
1 Corinthians 16:13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.

To be firm we must listen to good advice. To be strong in doing the word of God and grace of God.
Encouragement cost you nothing to give, we all need it. Never depend on the law but depend on His grace.

It's not how you mark the Bible, it is how the Bible mark at you.

Psalm 132:11 The LORD swore an oath to David,
a sure oath that he will not revoke:
"One of your own descendants
I will place on your throne-

12 if your sons keep my covenant
and the statutes I teach them,
then their sons will sit
on your throne for ever and ever."

Love the Lord with all of your heart. Wisdom is not knowledge, but the application of knowledge. Follow the word of God. We should consider ourselves as nothing so we can be used by God even in our witnesses; do not focus to "only perfect person" as being use by God.

To be firm we must be careful.
Proverbs 21:30 There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan
that can succeed against the LORD.

We need to be consistent in submission to God and our leaders.
In spiritual life, the one can kill us is the one who doesn't submit. To be firm: Let your No be no and Yes be yes. Be on guard and continue to listen and commit to God.

"Humble Ourselves" from James 4:11-17

There were three women:
The first woman said “when I clean my jewelry I always use expensive cleansers”
Then the second woman replied “I use fresh milk to clean my jewelry” (hmmm fresh milk?) now the third woman said “when I have dirty jewelry, I throw it away”.

Geeesh! How humble she is?

What cause fights and quarrels among you?
One of the problem is fight and disunity; comparing ourselves to one another; our pride.

We need to check our own hearts. The envy will use pride to divide the church.
Faith must have evidence.

Ephesians 4:2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love

Ephesians 4:24 And put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

I is the center of the word => pride

Pride will kill us spiritually and physically; when you have self pity saying to yourself ____.

If you have hatred in your heart you already commit sin – covetousness – pride.

When asking, ask with right motives to God. Prayers are not getting our will in heaven – it is getting God’s will to us.

Isaiah 1:15-16 When you spread out your hand in prayer, I will hide my eyes from you; even if you offer many prayers, I will not listen your hands are full of blood; wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sights! Stop doing wrong.

James 4:17 Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.

Sin of Omission.
James 4:4 You adulterous people don’t you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

1 John 2:15-16 Do not love the world or anything in the world if anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.

Be a servant but not with selfish intention. Submit our self to God be under obedient and stand/oppose what the world do. God is always available the problem is us we go away from God and do it our way. We need to humble ourselves before God.

Proverbs 6:16-19 There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissensions among brothers.

Romans 2:1 You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.

Proverbs 24:21 The cubicle for silver and the furnace for gold, but man is tested by the praises he receives.

Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.

1 John 2:17 The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.

Who am I to point fingers at you, I am nothing.

John 3:30 “He must become greater; I must become less.”

We must have more of Jesus Christ in our life and less of our self. But often times it’s the opposite – a lot of our self and our self-centered desires and not as much of Him. Our life as Christian should be a reflection of Jesus Christ. May we become more and more like Him day by day.

"Let Jesus Reign in your Life" from 1 Kings 1

First thing we need to do if Jesus want to reign in your life is that we have to be pure.

Respect the ladies if you look in to the woman with lust in your heart you commit adultery. What really matters is what in your heart.
If we fall into sin we need to be restored.

Adonijah = means name of Lord, or Jehovah

We must be doing what is good with the right motives, as what in the heart is important, you can't pretend but deep inside you have jealousy.
Pride is one of the tool of the enemy that causes division. If somebody has understanding do it with humility.

Proverbs 15:8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

2 Corinthians
21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

We are fellow armies we are not fighting for flesh and blood but spiritual.

Proverbs 21:12 The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.

Proverbs 24:21 My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:
