"Control Our Worldly Desires" from Romans 7:7-13

Envy and Lust are sin.

The meaning of:
Concupiscence
desire, Rom. 7:8 (R.V., "coveting"); Col. 3:5 (R.V., "desire").
The "lust of concupiscence" (1 Thess. 4:5; R.V., "passion of
lust") denotes evil desire, indwelling sin.
without the law sin is dead. for without the law there are no transgressions.

Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

James 1:14-16 (NIV)
