"Don't Listen To The Enemy" from Nehemiah 6:1-19

As Christians, our perseverance is not to listen to the enemy. One of the Bible teacher says "As Christians we are not possess by Satan but influenced by Satan". In our previous chapter, Nehemiah help the poor and now the enemy are attacking them.

In verse 1-9, talks about not to give in to the enemy. The wall is almost complete. They attack Nehemiah, who are they?
Sanballat means strength. Tobiah means pleasing with the Lord, he's an ammonite. Geshem means rain.

Place of Ono is going east from Israel. When we work for the Lord, the enemy will always attack you. "I am carrying on a great project" means I will continue to do the work of God.

1 Timothy 4:15-16 15 Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. 16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
We are reminded to do and carry out the problem. Satan he has the same tactics to tempt us, to listen to his voice. If you notice here the enemy is repeating that they send a 4 times message to Nehemiah.

We have the prayer to learn the word of God. If you give in to the enemy, surely you will fall to the enemy. Before when a governor received an unsealed letter, means they are not respecting (Nehemiah) the governor.

1 Peter 2:12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
It doesn't not comes from God when we boast. We have to do His will, be still and know God.

1 John 4:1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Many false prophets will tempt you. We should always listen to God not on people around you. God is will be the one who will do the revenge and not us. In verse 17-19, don't forget the enemy has allies. Through Jesus Christ, He equips us, we can work and please Him.

Nice Christian Life Experiences~~~
