"Be Pleasing to the Lord" from 1 Peter 1:13-25

The Bible will help us to keep away from sin but sin will keep us from the Bible.

Peter was reminding the believers that Jesus is coming.
In order to please God let us please HIM with our thoughts and actions.
Be self control = sober, serious and clean minded - clear thoughts.

Please God with our mind, set your mind on things above, behave decently with good acts.
Are we ready for the coming of Jesus?

Christian life is very serious we walk against the flow of the things in this world...

Against the flow of current.

Ephesians 4:22-23 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23to be made new in the attitude of your minds;


Deuteronomy 10:17 For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes.


Philippians 2:12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,

It takes miracle to love.

We do not study the Bible just for academic, we study the Bible to get to know God and have relationship with Him.
