"Seek God First" from 2 Samuel 4

Let me share a little about my life...

I was born physically normal, for some reason it started at the age of 5, I couldn't walk properly and my left foot keeps on hurting, I had a biopsy at Makati Medical Center the result were due to nerves abnormality...
To cut it short, I stopped school at the age of 11 that was grade-5 and it was around that age for the confirmation in Catholic, but I wasn't able to attend...

Ever since I stopped school "isolation" was my friend, always at home and suffering from health problems due to my left foot is getting worse and worse it affected my life sociability...
I was hopeless physically but never mentally, my dad encourage me to develop my intellectual capabilities, he taught me some computer troubleshooting and DOS programming language... and I read my brother school books... I have faith that someday, somehow I will finish my studies have a normal life...
but that time I was physically imprisoned, at home for 10 years continuously without any communication with my good old friends but only with the computer clients from my dad and my clients at the Church.
Learning computers and reading the Bible... In my teenage years around 15y/o I became atheist, maybe in my tender mind, reading the manuscript errors about the Bible in the Internet made me believe that God was made by human and not the other way around.
Finally, I gave up desperately loosing in the struggles of life... I felt like all my dreams was stranded... and hearing my childhood friends have graduated high-school made me think life is not worth while for me (I didn't even graduated elementary yet)...

I wasn't a lady until I was 17 y/o, (that's the reason why I still look physically young) then I discover having phone-pals and text mates with guys -coming in our house giving me flowers, fruits etc... and my dad was furious because I have so many male visitors from where he doesn't know...

Anyway, to make it short again... in my life experiences, it made me came back to believe that Jesus was the true savior...
I remember very well I didn't ate for a week didn't even drink any water for 5 days and I was giving up and prayed from my heart
"if there is really a God out there! will you rescue me?..."

I slept and dreamed that time, Jesus came out of the room, he hug me really tight and said "I love you"... I can never ever forget that dream...
...Jesus opened the door for me...
After a few days, there was a small party in our house, an Aunt who was a public elementary school teacher was also there... surprise to see me, and when she asked what was my course, I replied I didn't even finished elementary...
My Aunt arranged an opportunity for me to take PEPT acceleration test from Department of Education, and passed 3 exams (for 3 consecutive years) also means I'm finished with elementary and high-school... was given certifications (equivalent for Elementary and High School Diploma).
Then a cousin who was a doctor encourage me to use crutches... My dad said to let a Physical Therapy checked me up first... I first used the crutches March of 2003 in an instant I was starting tertiary school in June of 2003... and graduated a 4-years degree course in Computer April of 2007 (my dreams is finally coming true)... after two months of college graduation I was hired for work.

If you ask me now do I have any regrets? No I don't.
Before I used to hate the reason for my disabilities, (the more I hate, the more my life became desperate, but when I finally accepted the fact there was reasons why I became like so, this made me realize I was more lucky than other ladies.

"Seek God First"

What are our needs?: Air, Food, roof when it rains etc...
What are our Wants?... Wants are much more than our needs.

One thing we need to remember that the Earth is for temporary place and not our home, don't get to comfortable buying too much and thinking too much of the future. Think about our "Eternal" things, read 1 Peter 2:11-12.

Think that you are aliens of this Earth and we are just passing by, traveling by the things of the world. Everything we have physically will end up in trash...

...Health is Wealth?
is that the most important thing?

All the elements found in our body are found at the Earth. Don't spend too much too look impressive, spiritual is more important; Spiritual Health should be exercise. Don't pray to take away sickness physically but rather heal your spiritual health.

We need to seek God first even if we are healthy... pray daily seek God first to be delivered from temptations, not to give in the bitterness in our heart; i.e. revenge or terrible thoughts about your enemy.

Do it in Gods' way, if we always think we can make it without God and say "it can never happen to me" then you can fall easily to sin.

Seek God first seeking God first can let us be away from sin. Many people would say "Lord, Lord..." thinking they are doing God a favor but they were just thinking about themselves giving instructions to God.

Have compassion with your enemy. You can never do evil that good will come out of it.

God sees our heart knows our deepest thoughts. God will judge our motives. If you acknowledge God first, then all will be solve. God wants to be the first resort.

If you want to earn something from God then no reward will come.

Seek God first God loves you and can provide all our needs. There is always an opportunity to seek God first.

"Be Spiritually Mature" from Hebrews 5

How do we become spiritually mature?

This has been my question in my mind these days, and luckily our Sunday Bible study talks about the same topic in my mind. (^_^)

Here are my notes:

The priest would be appointed to access to God but Jesus is the only "high priest" => "our representative" to have direct fellowship with God and no other persons like priest or pastor to some people depends; to go to Church and did not depend on Jesus alone...

Never trust in your own for God's grace just realize your failing and be humble to God, we need to come to Jesus recognize him as our savior.

If you don't have a humble heart then there's NO repentance.

Don't doubt that you're child of God.

Doubt is the opposite of faith and believing.

If we want to mature spiritually go to the Son => Jesus, he is the way to God. Keep your eyes to God and he will bring good plans.

I was thinking for the past days when will the one persons whom I be with for the rest of my life comes... then all of the sudden Pastor's Ken example story...

Pastor Chuck Smith was waiting for the right lady to be his wife and all of the ladies in the service he would pray "which is which Lord is she the one?" then the Holy Spirit/voice would tell him that just dedicate your life to God and when the right time comes God will bring to you the right lady to be your wife. And so he just dedicate his life for worship and finally Mrs. Smith his wife did came to his life.
The moral lesson was to keep your eyes to God and he will bring good plans in your life.

Pray always.

Prayer is to let God know what he wants us to do NOT to let God know and what we want to do.
Submit to God and you will find the most satisfying happiness.

If you have a list of instructions from God; if we don't obey the step 1 God will never give you the step 2... Trust and Obey.

Everytime we open our Bible we need to pray to hear God's voice, to train us with God's words and be Spiritually Mature.

Even if you read the 66 Scriptures and thinking you are be Spiritually Mature enough you will never be mature enough. Because the God's word is constant and we must be always remembered to grow.

BIBLE => Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth

If we don't have appetite for God's word then we are sick it could be bitterness in our heart. We must be healed to be be Spiritually Mature.

Pastor's Message
2 Kings 10:31 Yet Jehu was not careful to keep the law of the Lord, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He did not turn away from the shop of Jeroboam, which he had cause Israel to commit.
=God wants all of our heart and complete obedience. Don't hold anything back from the Lord give it all to Him.

"Grow with the Lord" from 2 Samuel 3:1-38

A true Christian can never say we are grown enough no matter how long you have been studying the Bible, we may keep on stumbling and fall but we must continue to confess our sins and try not to do it all over again, continue to Grow with the Lord.

We should not wish to run over money but gain more spiritual blessings. Never think of yourself above others but only Jesus is above the rest.

If we want to know what God's will and plan, give up/surrender to the Lord put your trust in Jesus, walk by faith.

To grow with the Lord we must repent.
Repentance => required for spiritual growth and forgive to live at peace.

Right priority; Lord first sharing our faith with others.

If you don't evangelize, you fossilize.

If you can't love your neighbor that you do see, how can you love God that you don't see.

For evil to prevail all it takes is for righteous to be silent.

Look out for each other not yourself for God will watch over you. Defend other and God will defend you.

“God Sees All” from Hebrews 4:12

January 18, 2009

God Sees All and reveal our hearts. Read 2 Timoty 3:16 and Romans 1:16

We are all sinners even if we hide our mistakes God Sees All; we are all can be saved.
Jeremiah 23:29 = don’t worry about tomorrow =>will worry itself.

Sometimes we are overwhelm with problems and we forget how bit our God.
Read Isaiah 55:11 and Isaiah 11:4

Do not let others know what you have given should never be boast about, let God only knows, he knows what we thinks. God knows our every evil thought.

If a thought comes in our mind, it’s not a sin but only a thought, but if we continue to entertain and thinks about an evil thought then it is a sin.

The Bible will keep you from sin but the sin will keep you from the Bible.

Stay in God’s word to keep you away from polluted world.
Hebrews 4:13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sights.

God Sees All

When people do sins it’s always in the dark. They sin in the dark trying to hide their faces thinking God wouldn’t know.

We should have comforting thoughts. We will be given eternal rewards in heaven.

Mathew 7:21 says we need to come before him honestly confess our sins thru prayers.

Our good works is as filthy as our sins if we do not confess. We must come through with Jesus Christ who died to save our sins, believe in him to complete our salvation.

Store up your treasures in Heaven. Riches do not bring satisfaction only Jesus can.

Pastor's Message
Philippians 4:11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.
=to be satisfied with what you have and to be thankful for God's blessings is what we need to learn. Paul was able to do this when if had his mind and heart set on Jesus

"Fight the Battle" from 2 Samuel 2

January 14, 2009

How many of us after the hard victorious battle we like to do nothing and rest?

It’s during the rest the devil attack and we must continue to Fight the Battle.

If we have victory after physical hardship or trials we should ask for the Lord.
Never rely on past success and decisions we tool doing the same thing the same way. Ask the lord “do you have something new/directions for me?”

Like David when Saul died he was anointed as next king but instead of having a parade or ceremony he prayed and asked God’s plans.

When we have rest from the outside battle be careful on the attack from the inside.

1 Samuel 14:50 = Abner = Saul General is his uncle.

We have to love one another, do not judge, let God separate the unbeliever.

Our weapons are not physical but spiritual weapons which is prayers and Word of God. Be ready what God tells us to do. Fight the Battle wisely, If we act against anger we will not get anywhere.

Other people are not our enemy they are tools of God to test us.

"Rest in God" from Hebrews 4:1-11

January 11, 2009

The study for today was about how are we to rest in God.
Picture this: A baby resting in mother bosom.
This is how we are supposed to be rest in God. Peacefully giving our self in God.
There are 3,810 promises of God which is through Jesus Christ, the word in this world will change but God’s word will remain.

Promise = something will be done.

Let us be careful that none of us will fall short. Do not have rocky faith, thou we may struggles but with faith we can do anything.

The Israelite didn’t go to promise land right away because they always complain and didn’t believe God’s word right away. The word of God are being repeated so that we will remember.

Faith is complete trust (just like the baby in mother’s bosom) and believe in God.

Only God can see the faith in our hearts.
The rest is peace in God. Read 1 Corinthians 6.

Today if you hear his voice do not harden your heart. We should not have doubts and trust in Jesus not to worry rest in God and he will provide and give you rest.

We have so many traditions and destruction from our true faith in the Word of God.

Traditions= Depends of human minds not in the Word of God.

When storm strikes = the more we should hold firm to our faith.

Pastor's Message
Joshua 24:15 ...But as for me my house, we will rate the Lord.
=we decide what god we will serve. We can serve the one and true living God or the false gods of this world. The choice we make affects our whole family. We can influence others with our choice.

"Have a Soft Heart" from Hebrews 3:7-19

Happy New Year everyone (^_^)
My first post for the year 2009!!!

"Have a Soft Heart" from Hebrews 3:7-19

An example of why we need to have a soft heart:
Water is a substance that can be soft, in which at room temperature (tama-tama lang between hot and cold) water in the swimming pool is very good to swim at even if you jump in the pool you won't be hurt because water is soft... but if the water is hard as in frozen (too much coldness) in the pool with thick ice, when we jump we might get hurt and couldn't swim in it...

And so the message of God in the Bible is the same but it is the heart that determines if we accept it or not, if we have a hard or soft heart. Because of disbelief we will have a hard heart, we would complain and worry about the future and money but if we only believe in Lord God's promise we don't need to worry just let God work within us and have a soft heart.

Read Proverbs 28:14.

God will never forsake us, let him control our life. The danger is when you think you're the one who provide for yourself.

Do not let your heart go astray.

Let the Holy Spirit gives us the heart of flesh and NOT heart of stone.

We water our hearts with the word of God. It's not easy to be Christians ask God to give us the power to be victorious in life. Keep on asking and have faith get on your knees and pray.

No matter what the struggles trust in the Lord have peace in your heart even if you don't understand.

Remember the opposite of faith is doubt and unbelief.
Unbelief - is sin, calling our Lord God a liar.
Be careful we don't turn away from God, don't trust in the things of the world.

Encourage one another when we see sisters or brothers struggling. Surround yourself with Godly Christians, strong Christians. Depend on the Holy Spirit and not on yourself.

Read 1 Corithians 10:6-12.

Doubt can destroy our faith in God. People may throw persecution, accusation or even insults but let God be our defender things will be okay.

Just hold on and keep the faith.

Pastor's Message
2 Timothy 2:13 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth.
