"Do Not Boast" from 1 Kings 20

Some of us knows the story of Titanic:
The RMS Titanic was an Olympic-class passenger liner owned by British shipping company White Star Line and built at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Ireland. At the time of her construction, she was the largest passenger steamship in the world.

Everybody who invented the ship was boasting that they stated "Not even God can ever submerge the ship".
Shortly before midnight on 14 April 1912, four days into the ship's maiden voyage, Titanic hit an iceberg and sank two hours and forty minutes later, early on 15 April 1912. The sinking resulted in the deaths of 1,517 of the 2,223 people on board, making it one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history.

Pride, boasting
Proverbs 11:14For lack of guidance a nation falls,
but many advisers make victory sure.

Listen to the advice of other believers and listen to the word of God let it penetrate in our heart.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

We need to have humbleness and humility in serving God.

Boast - means to pride yourself off.
The man who sings his own praises always receive wrong pitch.
Don't count your chicken before they hatch.
Proverbs 27:1 Do not boast about tomorrow,
for you do not know what a day may bring forth.

The kindness of God will lead people to repentance. A man need a new heart and allow God will change us from inside out.

1 Corinthians 1:27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.

Ben-Hadad was so over confident of himself.
Let God be the one who will fight for you.
With a little and God can do a lot.

If we are not thankful and we are thinking we can provide for ourselves, this defile on the Bible that says "Do not compromise and allow God to change us". If you think you are standing firm be careful that you won't fall.

Nice Christian Life Experiences
