"Have a Sincere Faith" from James 2:14-26

Pastor Edging told us the story: during his college days, he has a classmate in algebra - she seem to always understand the lessons very well, but when the teacher prepared a problem solving and called out her name, she was so nervous and can't answer.

And so, to have a genuine faith we need to show demonstration not only by words.

Ephesians 2:8-10
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

God already prepare a work for us we only need to demonstrate our faith - the key for everything is the love for our Lord God.

Take a look in your lifestyle, take a look in your conversation, reflect to our self: who am I when I'm alone? Do I pleased the Lord?

Faith alone saves but the faith that saves is not alone.

Even if they are not born again, do good to them - specially in the body of believers.
1 John 3:16-18
16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.
17 If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?
18 Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

We need to show our faith and compassion to others. Let's have spiritual inventory in our heart examine our faith.

Compassion means is not only by saying but doing.

Faith without works is death.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Our belief in Jesus Christ is not just emotions we all need to prove our faith - and actions should be working together.
1 John 2:5 But whoso keep his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

Life of the Christian is not just saying the right words but also doing it right. Let us practice his words. We are justified if we have genuine faith. We are not save by our obedience to the rituals.

All of us are sinners and should not judge other persons if they make mistakes.
The grace that does not change my life can not save my soul. ~Charles Spurgeon

James 2:26 As the body without the spirit is death so faith without deeds is dead.

Pastor Message
Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
May the words that we speak and the matters of our heart be pleasing to God everyday. Let us therefore pray and ask God for help to live a holy and blameless life before Him.
