"Stay in The Truth" from Revelation 17:1-8

What are the lessons in this chapter?
We need to be careful as the enemy will introduce popular religion that can entice so many members.

We need to have the spiritual discernment of what is the right teaching and wrong. And study God's word.
Have the devotion.

Jeremiah 31:31 "The time is coming," declares the LORD,
"when I will make a new covenant
with the house of Israel
and with the house of Judah.

Jeremiah 51:7 Babylon was a gold cup in the LORD's hand;
she made the whole earth drunk.
The nations drank her wine;
therefore they have now gone mad.

• Beast - Anti-Christ
• Dragon - Satan
• Horn - strength (old testament)
• Tower of Babel - tower of confusion
• Purple - ruler

People are deceived these days they believe that if the church have many members then that is the right church or religion.
A lot of religion today don't believe that Jesus is God that became flesh.

We must be sincere in the truth.

Babylon - the city of rebellion. Spiritual aduletry they worship Baal.


When John wrote the book of Revelation the churchs were under persecution.

We need to remain and stay in the vine. Remain in God's teachings. Revelation 12:11
We can over come the power of Satan if we remain in the Lamb.

Revelation 17:7-8 When I saw her, I was greatly astonished. ⁷Then the angel said to me: "Why are you astonished? I will explain to you the mystery of the woman and of the beast she rides, which has the seven heads and ten horns. ⁸The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and will come up out of the Abyss and go to his destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast, because he once was, now is not, and yet will come.
The beast and the dragon are working together. The Beast will come out of the pit - It symbolizes the persistence of the Devil.

Revelation 13:11-12 ¹¹Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon. ¹²He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed.

Satan will die in the end

Revelation 20:10 ¹⁰And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Always remember what Jesus said "Enter to the narrow gate".

Matthew 7:13-14 ¹³"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. ¹⁴But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

If we have God we are the majority even if the church members are few.

Matthew 7:24 Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

This is the conclusion of Jesus after teaching His disciples: whoever hears His WORD must put them into practice. I remember of what James said: Do not just merely listens to his word and so deceive yourself. Do what it says! Therefore, As a disciple of Christ we need to live out His word.
