"Wake Up" from Revelation 3:1-6

Nelson's New Illustrated Bible Dictionary: Completely Revised and Updated EditionSardis it is the great city of wealth and fame but it is also called the "dead church". Jesus Christ rebuke some of its member.

It is also important to refresh ourselves with God's word.

Sardis was a rich church but they fell into worshipping idols. Remember that we can worship any things in this world more than God.

Why does it talk about the 7 Spirits?

Seven was the completion as God created everything in 7 days.

The church of Sardis needs to be revived. When we talk about waking up, ask ourself, how do I relate it in our daily life?

We learn about so many things in this world, and for us to learn anything we need to always learn the basic first. This the same thing in our relationship with the Lord. We are so busy in our daily tasks that we forget the basic of what God wants us to do. Always remember what God has done for you and me, remember the cross.

Faith without deeds is dead. We need to wake up.

Revelation 3:1-2
1"To the angel of the church in Sardis write:
These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits[b]of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. 2 Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God.

Always think about God. Remember to go back to the basic. And there will be hope and it can be found in Christ alone. Remember all his blessings; the ability to see, walk and work. And for us to be spiritually awake remember God's Love, His mercy is new every morning.

Matthew 25:13 13"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

Hebrews 2:1 We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.

Another thing to keep in mind to be able us to wake up:
Be honest and admit there is something wrong with our heart and repent.

Psalm 73:28a But as for me, it is good to be near God.
How good it is to be near God. We know that we need God’s presence all the time. And God will always be with us to guide and help us in our walk with him. Depend on Jesus everyday!
