Mark 13:32-37 New International Version (NIV)
The Day and Hour Unknown
32 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33 Be on guard! Be alert[a]! You do not know when that time will come. 34 It’s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with their assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.

35 “Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. 36 If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. 37 What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’”
14 “When you see ‘the abomination that causes desolation’[a] standing where it[b] does not belong—let the reader understand—then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 15 Let no one on the housetop go down or enter the house to take anything out. 16 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 17 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 18 Pray that this will not take place in winter, 19 because those will be days of distress unequaled from the beginning, when God created the world, until now—and never to be equaled again.

20 “If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them. 21 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe it. 22 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 23 So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time.

24 “But in those days, following that distress,

“‘the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
25 the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’[c]

26 “At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. 27 And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.
Whose Son Is the Messiah?
35 While Jesus was teaching in the temple courts, he asked, “Why do the teachers of the law say that the Messiah is the son of David? 36 David himself, speaking by the Holy Spirit, declared:

“‘The Lord said to my Lord:
“Sit at my right hand
until I put your enemies
under your feet.”’[a]

37 David himself calls him ‘Lord.’ How then can he be his son?”

The large crowd listened to him with delight.

Warning Against the Teachers of the Law
38 As he taught, Jesus said, “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted with respect in the marketplaces, 39 and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. 40 They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will be punished most severely.”
ou need to know that we all should depend on God.
Do not disregard the children.
If you don't trust the Lord how can you ask other people to trust you.

On verse 9 it means go as you are and you don't need to impressed people.
Just bring God's word.

God will provide for you.

Verse 11
How will you respond if someone will not welcome you?
Our responsibility is not to change people's minds.
We are not to blame if the gospel got rejected.

Repentance is the fruit when you receive the Lord. You should not be afraid. God told you to pray for one another.
As soon as they left the synagogue, they went with James and John to the home of Simon and Andrew. 30. Simon's mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her. 31. So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them. 32. That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed. 33. The whole town gathered at the door, 34. and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.
---

Sometimes God will allow us to get sick. But, that doesn't mean our prayers are not answered.

In the last verse 34, Jesus silenced the enemy so they can't speak. As it's not yet the time for them to know that He is the Messiah.

As conclusion Jesus shows us the example that ministry is anytime.

Jesus is the same yesterday and today
John 4:8

Luke: 12. 4-5 "I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.

Ask God to give you voice to speak properly

1 Corinthians: 2. 4. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, 5. so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God's power.

Obedience

Jeremiah: 29. 11. For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Acts: 2. 1. When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. 5. Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. 6. When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. 7. Utterly amazed, they asked: "Aren't all these who are speaking Galileans? 8. Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language? 9. Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10. Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome 11. (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!" 12. Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, "What does this mean?" 13. Some, however, made fun of them and said, "They have had too much wine." 14. Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: "Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. 15. These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It's only nine in the morning! 16. No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 17. "'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. 18. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. 19. I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. 20. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. 21. And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'

Best way to start is to raise early.
Start with getting up 15 mins. Early. And start with the Lord.
Acts 2:28

Acts: 2:28 You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.'

1 Thessalonians 2:19
For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you?

Psalm 16:11
You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Psalm 95:2
Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.

Psalm 102 come before his presence

Listen to His voice and follow it.

Matthew 16:19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

Acts 4:29-30
Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. 30. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus."

Confess your sins.

Colossians: 1:9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, 10. so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11. being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 12. and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.

Isaiah 55:11
so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Luke 4:18-19
The name of Mark mother is Mary....
This emphasize the deeds of Jesus.

The beginning of the Gospel story talks about Jesus Christ..

GOSPEL Acronym:
God Only Salvation Plan For Eternal Life

Good news
Understanding the name of Jesus...

The author of salvation Jesus.
We need to take it slow and not rush on studying the Bible

Anointed Savior the meaning of Jesus.

Mark: 1. 1. The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God,

Hebrews 1:1-2
Hebrews: 1. 1. In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2. but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.

God will never say when He will come ... The ministry of John is to prepare the hearts of the people.... Time is short, press on and do not give up. Prepare for the Lord second coming.

Mark: 1:3-4
3. "a voice of one calling in the wilderness, 'Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.'" 4. And so John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.

To receive forgiveness from the Lord. We must be baptised.

Jesus himself was baptised

1 John: 1-8. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

We must be contented and Live in Simplicity...
Mark: 1. 6. John wore clothing made of camel's hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey.

Godliness with Contentment is Great Gain.

Mark: 1. 8. I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."

We must be less and Christ must be great in us.

Let them Duplicate what you do.... There more people who will share the gospel, the more people will be saved...
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Revelation 22:17
17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

James 1:18
18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

1 Peter 1:23
23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

John 6:63
63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit[a] and life.

Ask with faith, share the word of God, then ask if do you believe that?
Mark 14:15

John 16:8
When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment:
Our whole job is to share the message be the ambassador
Matthew 16:19
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
Psalm 32:8
We're not trying to build our own kingdom but it's a rescue.
Don't waste time arguing.

John 8:31-35
The truth shall set you free.

--- Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." 33. They answered him, "We are Abraham's descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?" 34. Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. 36. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
-
Paul is telling the Corinthian Churches that they should support him. But he didn't get the support from them.

2 Corinthians: 12:11-12
I have made a fool of myself, but you drove me to it. I ought to have been commended by you, for I am not in the least inferior to the "super-apostles," even though I am nothing. I persevered in demonstrating among you the marks of a true apostle, including signs, wonders and miracles.
-

Whatever your situation whether if your pastor or church goer, Wheu have relationship Christ then you're special.

Christians without Christ = "I am nothing"
-

Acts 14:3
So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders.

God will answer our concerns through miracles. We should not limit the spirit of God to claim all these blessings.

Perseverance - endurance with patience. Depending to God Power.

Even in some ministry not all prayers are answered.

Even if God doesn't heal you .. He said "my grace is sufficient for you"
-
Where did Paul get his support?
It was the Macedonian churches..

Even if your not an employee God have a purpose in your life. And, have reason for your current situation .

Serving the church is voluntary.

John 10:11-12
"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12. The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.
-
The rule of ninong and ninang is not just to give gifts but for ministering to them and asking their welfare.
-
2 Corinthians: 12:20 For I am afraid that when I come I may not find you as I want you to be, and you may not find me as you want me to be. I fear that there may be discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, slander, gossip, arrogance and disorder.
-
Be careful of arrogance it will eat you ..

1 Thessalonians 4:3-7 that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, 5. not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; 6. and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. 7. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.
10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Pride is spiritual
It will eat you up even your common sense.
No one is immune of pride.

God will be glorified in you, even in your witnesses.

God grace is sufficient for you. We don't believe that God's grace is sufficient unless you live for Jesus.
God's grace doesn't base in our situation.

2 Corinthians: 12:9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

- I am well pleased.

In difficulties and hardship, when I an weak then "I am strong".

When we recognize our weaknesses God will be there for us.
Although the world sees our weaknesses that's the time we will become strong through God's grace. For his power become perfect in our weaknesses
41 Again and again they put God to the test;
they vexed the Holy One of Israel.
42 They did not remember his power—
the day he redeemed them from the oppressor,
43 the day he displayed his signs in Egypt,
his wonders in the region of Zoan.
44 He turned their river into blood;
they could not drink from their streams.
45 He sent swarms of flies that devoured them,
and frogs that devastated them.
46 He gave their crops to the grasshopper,
their produce to the locust.
47 He destroyed their vines with hail
and their sycamore-figs with sleet.
48 He gave over their cattle to the hail,
their livestock to bolts of lightning.
49 He unleashed against them his hot anger,
his wrath, indignation and hostility—
a band of destroying angels.
50 He prepared a path for his anger;
he did not spare them from death
but gave them over to the plague.
51 He struck down all the firstborn of Egypt,
the firstfruits of manhood in the tents of Ham.
52 But he brought his people out like a flock;
he led them like sheep through the wilderness.
53 He guided them safely, so they were unafraid;
but the sea engulfed their enemies.
54 And so he brought them to the border of his holy land,
to the hill country his right hand had taken.
55 He drove out nations before them
and allotted their lands to them as an inheritance;
he settled the tribes of Israel in their homes.

56 But they put God to the test
and rebelled against the Most High;
they did not keep his statutes.
57 Like their ancestors they were disloyal and faithless,
as unreliable as a faulty bow.
58 They angered him with their high places;
they aroused his jealousy with their idols.
59 When God heard them, he was furious;
he rejected Israel completely.
60 He abandoned the tabernacle of Shiloh,
the tent he had set up among humans.
61 He sent the ark of his might into captivity,
his splendor into the hands of the enemy.
62 He gave his people over to the sword;
he was furious with his inheritance.
63 Fire consumed their young men,
and their young women had no wedding songs;
64 their priests were put to the sword,
and their widows could not weep.

65 Then the Lord awoke as from sleep,
as a warrior wakes from the stupor of wine.
66 He beat back his enemies;
he put them to everlasting shame.
67 Then he rejected the tents of Joseph,
he did not choose the tribe of Ephraim;
68 but he chose the tribe of Judah,
Mount Zion, which he loved.
69 He built his sanctuary like the heights,
like the earth that he established forever.
70 He chose David his servant
and took him from the sheep pens;
71 from tending the sheep he brought him
to be the shepherd of his people Jacob,
of Israel his inheritance.
72 And David shepherded them with integrity of heart;
with skillful hands he led them.

Overview: There are false teachers and they are criticizing Paul,

When you preach don't use your life as a perfect example.
There are times we need to share our testimony in how the Lord works in you in spite of our flaws. When sharing credentials use others instead on yourself.
Don't talk to much about yourself.

2 Corinthians 4:5
For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake.

Everything is permissable but not everything is beneficial.

In some religions, people in their church are exploited.
According to the old testament we should give 10% but now we are under grace any amount that your heart is willing to give.

Paul means little.
He was from bloodline of Benjamin, from King Saul.

Before, for you to become an apostle of Christ, you need to have background of Israel, they only pick Jews.

Today, we are all one in Christ, there should be no division.

What is seen is temporary but what is unseen is eternal.ice9webhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08828862454252252130noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8504489765586522115.post-35755365209503527032016-11-13T21:53:00.000+08:002019-08-12T21:56:32.677+08:00We Have To Be Genuine from 2 Corinthians 11:7-15
Psalm 78:17-56 New International Version (NIV)
17 But they continued to sin against him,
rebelling in the wilderness against the Most High.
18 They willfully put God to the test
by demanding the food they craved.
19 They spoke against God;
they said, “Can God really
spread a table in the wilderness?
20 True, he struck the rock,
and water gushed out,
streams flowed abundantly,
but can he also give us bread?
Can he supply meat for his people?”
21 When the Lord heard them, he was furious;
his fire broke out against Jacob,
and his wrath rose against Israel,
22 for they did not believe in God
or trust in his deliverance.
23 Yet he gave a command to the skies above
and opened the doors of the heavens;
24 he rained down manna for the people to eat,
he gave them the grain of heaven.
25 Human beings ate the bread of angels;
he sent them all the food they could eat.
26 He let loose the east wind from the heavens
and by his power made the south wind blow.
27 He rained meat down on them like dust,
birds like sand on the seashore.
28 He made them come down inside their camp,
all around their tents.
29 They ate till they were gorged—
he had given them what they craved.
30 But before they turned from what they craved,
even while the food was still in their mouths,
31 God’s anger rose against them;
he put to death the sturdiest among them,
cutting down the young men of Israel.

32 In spite of all this, they kept on sinning;
in spite of his wonders, they did not believe.
33 So he ended their days in futility
and their years in terror.
34 Whenever God slew them, they would seek him;
they eagerly turned to him again.
35 They remembered that God was their Rock,
that God Most High was their Redeemer.
36 But then they would flatter him with their mouths,
lying to him with their tongues;
37 their hearts were not loyal to him,
they were not faithful to his covenant.
38 Yet he was merciful;
he forgave their iniquities
and did not destroy them.
Time after time he restrained his anger
and did not stir up his full wrath.
39 He remembered that they were but flesh,
a passing breeze that does not return.

40 How often they rebelled against him in the wilderness
and grieved him in the wasteland!
41 Again and again they put God to the test;
they vexed the Holy One of Israel.

We could be so brilliant and smart in our industries but it you don't know God's word then everything are nothing.

Like Paul he was true and genuine teacher. And, he teach for free, No charge.
Paul got his support from other churches.

2 Corinthians: 11:7 Was it a sin for me to lower myself in order to elevate you by preaching the gospel of God to you free of charge?

Philippians 4:14-16
Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles. Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only; for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid more than once when I was in need.

Paul was trying to cut the false preachers.. He didn't receive any help from Corinthians

Philippians 1:10-16
so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11. filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

Colossians 2:8
Colossians: 2. 8. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.

1 Timothy 4:1-3
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3. They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth.

1 Timothy 6:3-5
If anyone teaches otherwise and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, 4. they are conceited and understand nothing. They have an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions 5. and constant friction between people of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.

2 Peter 2:1-3
But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.

Don’t be fooled by external appearances. Our impressions alone are not an accurate indicator of who is or isn’t a true follower of Christ.

So it helps to ask these questions:
1. Do the teachings confirm Scripture? (Acts1 7:11)
2. Does the teacher affirm and proclaim that Jesus Christ is God who came into the world as a man to save people from their sins? (1 John 4:1-3)
3. Is the teacher’s life-style consistent with Biblical morality? (Matthew 12:33-37)
Paul and the False Apostles
11 I hope you will put up with me in a little foolishness. Yes, please put up with me! 2 I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. 3 But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 4 For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.

5 I do not think I am in the least inferior to those “super-apostles.”[a] 6 I may indeed be untrained as a speaker, but I do have knowledge. We have made this perfectly clear to you in every way.

2 Corinthians: 11. 2. I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him.

On verse 2 the Godly jealousy means faithfulness.
Most of the times people are worshipping the preachers rather than Jesus.
They left because they don't like the pastor.

Virgin on this context means unaffected by false doctrines.

Paul was concerns about misuse of gifts.

Calvanist -

Virgin means:
Ephesians: 5:27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

Leviticus: 21:15 so that he will not defile his offspring among his people. I am the Lord, who makes him holy.'"

2 Corinthians: 11:4 For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.

We must be aware of those false doctrines. And be self feeders - learn it your own, to grow in knowledge in Jesus Christ.

John: 8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Galatians: 1:6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—

Romans: 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Paul declared in Colossians we need to have the mind of Christ.

The simplicity in everything is with Christ.

Ephesians: 4:11-14
So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12. to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13. until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.

Content of better than presentation.
The most important is the heart. Remain pure and holy. Stay in track.

Psalm 78:1-17 New International Version (NIV)
Psalm 78
A maskil[a] of Asaph.
1 My people, hear my teaching;
listen to the words of my mouth.
2 I will open my mouth with a parable;
I will utter hidden things, things from of old—
3 things we have heard and known,
things our ancestors have told us.
4 We will not hide them from their descendants;
we will tell the next generation
the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord,
his power, and the wonders he has done.
5 He decreed statutes for Jacob
and established the law in Israel,
which he commanded our ancestors
to teach their children,
6 so the next generation would know them,
even the children yet to be born,
and they in turn would tell their children.
7 Then they would put their trust in God
and would not forget his deeds
but would keep his commands.
8 They would not be like their ancestors—
a stubborn and rebellious generation,
whose hearts were not loyal to God,
whose spirits were not faithful to him.

9 The men of Ephraim, though armed with bows,
turned back on the day of battle;
10 they did not keep God’s covenant
and refused to live by his law.
11 They forgot what he had done,
the wonders he had shown them.
12 He did miracles in the sight of their ancestors
in the land of Egypt, in the region of Zoan.
13 He divided the sea and led them through;
he made the water stand up like a wall.
14 He guided them with the cloud by day
and with light from the fire all night.
15 He split the rocks in the wilderness
and gave them water as abundant as the seas;
16 he brought streams out of a rocky crag
and made water flow down like rivers.

17 But they continued to sin against him,
rebelling in the wilderness against the Most High.
ice9webhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08828862454252252130noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8504489765586522115.post-77159331104542637892016-10-16T21:44:00.000+08:002019-08-12T21:46:28.296+08:00We Don't Look At The Surface from 2 Corinthians 10:7-,12
Psalm 75[a]
For the director of music. To the tune of “Do Not Destroy.” A psalm of Asaph. A song.
1 We praise you, God,
we praise you, for your Name is near;
people tell of your wonderful deeds.

2 You say, “I choose the appointed time;
it is I who judge with equity.
3 When the earth and all its people quake,
it is I who hold its pillars firm.[b]
4 To the arrogant I say, ‘Boast no more,’
and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horns.[c]
5 Do not lift your horns against heaven;
do not speak so defiantly.’”

6 No one from the east or the west
or from the desert can exalt themselves.
7 It is God who judges:
He brings one down, he exalts another.
8 In the hand of the Lord is a cup
full of foaming wine mixed with spices;
he pours it out, and all the wicked of the earth
drink it down to its very dregs.

9 As for me, I will declare this forever;
I will sing praise to the God of Jacob,
10 who says, “I will cut off the horns of all the wicked,
but the horns of the righteous will be lifted up.”

If we are only looking in the outward appearances of man - that's not good.

God will use us secretly. Even if you serve him secretly, He will bless you.

We all belong to Christ.

Authority is the "capacity" - use it to build up - Edification - by using your words - to encourage not to discourage. Make progression.

The purpose of the words is to build up people. To edify..
To share the word of God to build up the people you are ministering. ice9webhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08828862454252252130noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8504489765586522115.post-90853488702229066392016-10-09T21:38:00.000+08:002019-08-12T21:43:51.903+08:00God Never Fails from 2 Corinthians 10:1-6
Psalm 74
A maskil[a] of Asaph.
1 O God, why have you rejected us forever?
Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture?
2 Remember the nation you purchased long ago,
the people of your inheritance, whom you redeemed—
Mount Zion, where you dwelt.
3 Turn your steps toward these everlasting ruins,
all this destruction the enemy has brought on the sanctuary.

4 Your foes roared in the place where you met with us;
they set up their standards as signs.
5 They behaved like men wielding axes
to cut through a thicket of trees.
6 They smashed all the carved paneling
with their axes and hatchets.
7 They burned your sanctuary to the ground;
they defiled the dwelling place of your Name.
8 They said in their hearts, “We will crush them completely!”
They burned every place where God was worshiped in the land.

9 We are given no signs from God;
no prophets are left,
and none of us knows how long this will be.
10 How long will the enemy mock you, God?
Will the foe revile your name forever?
11 Why do you hold back your hand, your right hand?
Take it from the folds of your garment and destroy them!

12 But God is my King from long ago;
he brings salvation on the earth.

13 It was you who split open the sea by your power;
you broke the heads of the monster in the waters.
14 It was you who crushed the heads of Leviathan
and gave it as food to the creatures of the desert.
15 It was you who opened up springs and streams;
you dried up the ever-flowing rivers.
16 The day is yours, and yours also the night;
you established the sun and moon.
17 It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth;
you made both summer and winter.

18 Remember how the enemy has mocked you, Lord,
how foolish people have reviled your name.
19 Do not hand over the life of your dove to wild beasts;
do not forget the lives of your afflicted people forever.
20 Have regard for your covenant,
because haunts of violence fill the dark places of the land.
21 Do not let the oppressed retreat in disgrace;
may the poor and needy praise your name.
22 Rise up, O God, and defend your cause;
remember how fools mock you all day long.
23 Do not ignore the clamor of your adversaries,
the uproar of your enemies, which rises continually.

Ephesians 2 New International Version (NIV)
Made Alive in Christ
2 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

By the standard of the Spirit.
Renew your mind to see God's will.
You will become what you think.

We should not be timid ... We make discussion everyday which weapon to choose - God or spirit?
Continue depend on God case He never fails.
What do they do to the church that are in need?
They will help by building funds.

How did Titus serve God?
Titus serve our God with the listening ear.
He serve God with much enthusiasm, passion and zealousness.
He serve God with initiative.

How do you serve the Lord?

On the area of money, make sure that person is worthy and know the background and character.

Serving the Lord with the honest heart. He is in the service of the gospel.
Your work is your platform to share the gospel.

When we help we must be eager to do it.

No corruption and cheating in handling money.

What is the right thing to do in the context?
Serve with the honest heart. So no one can blame him you.
Whatever your responsibility.

You need to have an accountability partner. They are your partner who will help you and not destroy you.

We are one of the ambassador of Christ. Don't post any negative in Facebook.

The way you represent your life in with place should honor Christ.

John 14:1-3
1 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

Paul's life gave Him the confidence to work on his ministry.
if we are not confident, then we need to be refresh by His word.

Philippians 3:20-21
But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,
who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

We live by faith not by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.

Sometimes we are to focus on many things Not By Faith.
Faith is base upon our reliance and everything we do.
Faith is being sure by what we hope for not by what are being seen.

Many times we failed because of unbelief.
To walk by faith, is To make faith part of daily activities.

The Lord Love will remain Forever.

Heaven is indescribable.

To be away from the body is to be at Home at the Lord.
To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:16
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

These are false teachings:

soul sleep

purgatory

When we die it's all done.

Don't believe there are waiting place.

2 Corinthians 5:9 So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.

Whether we are in this world or away from it, we must please God. Desire to be more like Him.

When we get to heaven, everything are done.

Bema - judgement step raised platform or seat. Area around the altar of a church for the clergy and choir; often enclosed by a lattice or railing

A psalm of David. When he was in the Desert of Judah.

1 You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water.

2 I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power and your glory.
3 Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
4 I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands.
5 I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

6 On my bed I remember you;
I think of you through the watches of the night.
7 Because you are my help,
I sing in the shadow of your wings.
8 I cling to you;
your right hand upholds me.

9 Those who want to kill me will be destroyed;
they will go down to the depths of the earth.
10 They will be given over to the sword
and become food for jackals.

11 But the king will rejoice in God;
all who swear by God will glory in him,
while the mouths of liars will be silenced.

* * *

We are more than our bodies. Paul was not looking on temporary body but looking on eternal bodies.

We have building from God an eternal house in heaven.

Hebrews 11:10
For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.

1 Peter 1:4
and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you,

Salvation isn't for the soul and spirit. It's for the body also.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
Isaiah 55:8

If you are going tired and weary. God has provided a counsellor.

When God made a Deposit He guarantees that we are own by the Lord. Through the Holy Spirit. We can be assure nothing will snatch us.

2 Corinthians 1:20
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.ice9webhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08828862454252252130noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8504489765586522115.post-20511324049164483312016-06-26T21:06:00.001+08:002016-06-26T21:06:52.565+08:00"He Will Deliver Us" from 1 Corinthians 1-11Paul was being attack my false prophets. He was stoned to death. And, suffered blindness but was healed. God will continue to deliver us.

We have to interpret on observance of the contents of Paul situation.

If we compare our lives, from sufferings today to the situation of Jesus' disciples, our trials are momentary. Our persecution today are light.

Consider others better than yourself. Not to be selfish of our time.

Hardship - trouble and tribulation. actual physical pressure.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:1

Whatever we are experiencing right now Christ has experience it.

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. ~ John 15:5

Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching. ~ Hebrews 10:25

Whenever we put God first, He will bless us. Sunday is for the Lord.
If you are working everyday and no time for Jesus. what will happen if He will allow you to suffer and not allow you to work.

He who trusts in himself is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom is kept safe. -Proverbs 28:26

This is what the LORD says: "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the LORD.
He will be like a bush in the wastelands; he will not see prosperity when it comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives.
"But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.
- Jeremiah 17:5-7

The key verse on this chapter:

2 Corinthians 1:10 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us,

if it's not our time God well continue to deliver us from the storm.

The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
~ Psalm 34:10

2 Peter 2:9
if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.
chapter 1 focus in the Gospel.
Our church is preserve by God's grace.
Grace is something given to us that we do not deserve.
We have many offenses to God - He doesn't only forgives us but also saved us.
He surpasses all understanding when we experience God's Grace.

One Week Prayer Schedule on:

Sunday for immediate family.

Monday for your friends

Tuesday for ministry

Wednesday for the leaders.

Thursday for classmates and co-workers.

Friday for your neighbors.

Saturday for your relatives.

We need to thank God for everything.

1 Thessalonians 1:2 We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers.

Work - toil - effort.

Remember the story of Jacob and Rachel. he Work more than 7 years for her because of her love for her.

Ephesians 2:8-10 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Endurance inspired by hope of our Lord Jesusn Christ.

Romans 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

acronym of GOSPEL:

1 Thessalonians 1:5 because our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake.

We can't brag our number of years being a Christians. It is not just coming to church or just to listen only worship songs during Sunday but rock and roll from Monday to Saturday.
We need to inspect ourselves and our relationship with God.
God is the one who transform us to serve Him.

Give because you love, and without string attached.
Not just tithes and offering, but in everything.

On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.
1 Corinthians 16:2

Looking back to what Paul said we should give in Love.

Romans 12:13 (NIV)
13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

Hebrews 6:10 (NIV)
10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.

1 John 3:17 (NIV)
17 If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?

Jesus used His time to visit His people.
Time is limited and we need to be wise in using it.
If you can see families in troubles care for them.
Paul honors his time with our Lord. He is sensitive to God's leading, and do everything in Love. He also experience spiritual attack. But we are conquerors for Christ JESUS.
Not Survivors But Conquerors.

We have lots of enemy in this world from Satan.
Timothy means dear to God.

We need to be concern to ministries.
Ministry is not just using people, it is loving people.
Apollos was one of the minister.
We need to get along with each other.

1 Corinthians 16:12 Now about our brother Apollos: I strongly urged him to go to you with the brothers. Love and not manipulate.

Do everything in love.
1 Corinthians 16:14

Stand firm in faith and persevere with your work with JESUS. Do not depend on the leadership of the one above you.

1 Corinthians 16:22-24 If anyone does not love the Lord--a curse be on him. Come, O Lord!

We should take it after confession

1Co 11:27 Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.

Examine ourselves before taking communion elements.

1Co 11:28 A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup.

Waiting for each other before taking the communion.
1Co 11:33 So then, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for each other.

Repent and remember what we are here on this world. "Remembering Christ" being one with Him and Love of Jesus.

1Jo 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

As celebrate communion we should have a sincere Heart.
Paul warning is to treat communion with reverence.

Heb 12:6-11
6 because the Lord disciplines the one he loves,
and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”[a]
7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? 8 If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. 9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! 10 They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

The idea is to prepare our hearts and have a right attitude before Him (God).
For anyone who eats and drinks without preparation and without recognizing the body of the Lord are not worthy to partake the communion.

We are weak spiritually or physically if we don't recognize Jesus in our communion. If we became tired to participate in Lord's service. Ask yourself "Do you still have Joy in serving the Lord?".

1Co 11:30 That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.
We should not forget Jesus as we celebrate communion.

After our communion the Thompson's family (Missionaries) have their farewell message to us as they are leaving for USA.
And, encourage one another. When we gather together, make sure we are not pointing fingers to them. Let's talk about good things and positive things.

Why do we have division?

1Co 3:3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men?

1Co 6:1 If any of you has a dispute with another, dare he take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the saints?

When we have problems we must settle it as believers not to ask counsel to unbelievers.
Learn to say sorry.

There are many division in the church. Jesus is the reason why we come together as a church. The same thing to us today Let's do it in remembrance of Him.

Calvanist - salvation is not by Work. Once we are save you're save.
