"Leave Out Your Beliefs" from Romans 2:17-24

The Jews are said to be in the "high status" because they were the chosen ones and the Messiah came from their blood lines. They also have the law and are boastful of it. But do all of them have the good character?
Remember that it's not all about facts but character counts.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Psalm 147:19 He has revealed his word to Jacob, his laws and decrees to Israel.
20 He has done this for no other nation; they do not know his laws. Praise the LORD.

Anyone who knows the good doesn't do it is = sins.
We have law of God
Psalm 119:99 I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes.
100 I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts.

  1. Guide for the blind
  2. Light shinning in the darkness
  3. Teacher of infants

Justice, Mercy and Faithfulness - are the most important in the law.

Hypocrisy - Hypocrite
one who puts on a mask and feigns himself to be what he is not;
a dissembler in religion. Our Lord severely rebuked the scribes
and Pharisees for their hypocrisy (Matt. 6:2, 5, 16). "The
hypocrite's hope shall perish" (Job 8:13). The Hebrew word here
rendered "hypocrite" rather means the "godless" or "profane," as
it is rendered in Jer. 23:11, i.e., polluted with crimes.
Forget having masteral or doctorate if you are not following the law.

Titus 1:16 They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.

Romans 2:21 you, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself?

How do we teach ourselves?
Are we doing our devotion?
Are we applying what we have learn?

Pray:
Lord teach me your ways, I want it your way and not my way.

Romans 2:22 You who say that people should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?

do you rob temples means:
Mal 3:8 "Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask, 'How do we rob you?' "In tithes and offerings.

Isa 52:5 "And now what do I have here?" declares the LORD. "For my people have been taken away for nothing, and those who rule them mock," declares the LORD. "And all day long my name is constantly blasphemed.

We need to have integrity. When your words matches your action then integrity shows.
What do people think from God by watching your life?
