"Repentance Should Be Genuine" from Matthew 3:1-17

Image
Repentance - turning away from sin; making a U turn. Reflection everyday. He who conceal his sins will not prosper Matthew 5:3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. For true repentance; There will be a change in our lifestyle. Change in our behavior and actions. Be slow to speak and quick to listen. Remember that New years' resolution can not change you. The meaning: Baptism of fire is the cleansing process - of purification through the Holy Spirit. Why was Jesus baptize? He approved to John ministry. To fulfill all righteousness. Jesus is modelling (or doing) what needs to done, in short He is giving an example. Baptism is not a religion or way for us to be saved. It is the act of obedience and repentance of sins. Jesus lived on this Earth as 100% man though He was God. The Dove - symbolism of the Holy Spirit; purity and peace. We never pray or make the dove an altar. Pastor's Message Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore, since

"Be Sensitive To His Voice" from Matthew 2:13-23

Image
God spoke to Joseph (fiance of Mary) through dreams. If we want to hear His voice we must not harden our hearts. Revelation 12:4 Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born. Here is the plan of Satan as he wants to destroy our Savior. Be obedient to the guidance we have from God and God will speak more to you. Joseph was sensitive to God's guidance and willing to do God's will no matter what it takes. Spend your time with God just like how you spend time with your family, friends, spouse and etc. Trust in God's plan to follow the example of Joseph. Nazareth has a constant communication to the world. They have polluted morality. The humility of the King is something we have to admire. Pastor's Message As we look at this year 2010, we can say that God has been so faithful to us in His church. First

"Be A Good Leader" from 1 Chronicles 27

Image
Actions speaks louder than words as a good leader we must "do as I do" not "do as I say". In short "Be the example". To be a good leader we must be brave enough to face trials. Paul said to Timothy "for God did not gave us spirit of timidity but the spirit of power." Even though "we did it" we must not say it is because of our talents. Keep in mind that "we are not super saints or super Christians". We must recognize its God who sustains us. Most of the times we only looked upon ourselves but we must recognize that God is the source of all things. As a leader we need to be influencer and NOT to follow the example of the world. 1 John 1:16-17 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. To be a good example you must get rid of yourself.

"Jesus Is The Gift" from Matthew 1:18-25 and 2:1-12

Jesus - Jehovah is salvation or Joshua, in greek "the Messiah". Fellowship is very important for us in order to grow spiritualy. We shouldn't be (present just on special day) CEO (Christians) - Christmas and Easter Only. During these special days we are busy and too occupied, and the meaning of Christmas is not just giving gifts but it's about your relationship with Jesus Christ. Reading God's word is important and receiving His word gladly in our hearts. Have the true meaning and relationship with Jesus Christ. Christmas is all about glory and grace. God reach out to man for you and me - all we need to think about is Christ. And to Celebrate Christmas with God. We must be glad as the song goes "Joy to the World". Recognize God that He is our King. Walk with Him and continue your fellowship with Him. What can break our fellowship with God? Our sins. And If we have bitterness and don't have forgiveness, we encourage you to forgive those

"Jesus Became Man" from Matthew 1:1-14

Israel - govern by God Both Mary and Joseph came from the tribe of Judah. The theme of the Book of Matthew - To prove Jesus is the King and the Messiah. He is the Christ. We need to rejoice that we are included in His family. Pastor's Message Malachi 3:14 You have said, 'It is futile to serve God. What did we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners before the LORD Almighty?' God has rebuke the priest and Judah's people because they are unfaithful to God in their offerings, tithes and etc. So God told them to return to Him for If is the God the LORD who does not change! But in this particular verse they said: IT IS FUTILE/USELESS TO SERVE GOD! And this statement was normally used by the people today. Some will say, "you connot earn possessios or riches in serving God". But as for us, we will Serve Him faithfully! For our labor in the Lord is not in vain and it will surely be rewarded. ~~~

"Knowing God From The Heart" from 1 Chronicles 25

Prophesy are accompanied by harps like the book of Psalms specifically in Psalm 22 where Jesus was prophesied. Music can revive and inspire us in many ways. The bad habit sometimes is that instead of worshipping God - we glorified the pastors, worship leader, the singers etc. . . These are the things we need to avoid. The positive thing - one of the best ways to minister is through music. When a person develope the talent for example in the worship team they tend to leave the church and make their own band. Our talents came from God so we need to use it for God. Zaccur - mindful Jeshaiah - Salvation from Jehova 1 Colosians 3:16-17 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. ~~~
