"Holding On" from Acts 20:17-38

Image
Ministry and walking with the Lord is never easy, and we must expect to go through persecution like Jesus. People hate us whenever we do things right. An example is a seed that grows quickly but when sun shines so strong, the baby plant would wither and die. God is going to use "problems" in our life to mold us. Hold on to Jesus and never give up. Live for Jesus not allowing your work, your family, etc.. to destruct you. Love God and know God more. Hold on don't let problems get you destructed. Jesus, Paul and the rest of the disciples preach repentance. Don't fall into temptations i.e. Can't go to church because of so many reasons, little by little you will fall back to the world. We need fellowship to keep on track. The problems we go through in life will help other people, allow God to mold and shape you. Pray "Lord help me to learn the lesson you're teaching me." Another example, is a chocolate cake, cooked inside of the oven for more than 45min

"Beware of the Enemy" from 2 Samuel 20

There is no rest in fighting for our faith. Don't relax and always be on guard. Don't be a trouble maker and avoid trouble makers. Trouble maker means good for nothing person. Proverbs 24:21 Fear the Lord and the king my son, and do not join with the rebellious. Always be reminded of values. We need not to have any jealousy in any dealings of our life. Don't relax with our relationship, we have to be aware for someone who will destroy our relationship. Pray every single day. When praying let the presence of God feel you. If we are slow spiritualy we will not grow. As we grow the enemy will also be strong to destroy us, and so be more prepared. In order to win with the enemy guard our eyes, mind and heart. Do not judge or you will be judge. Never relax be aware of the enemy. Don't let your sin comes to your heart. Do not entertain evil thoughts. Sin leads to death of our soul. Take it seriously. Sin will destroy us if we are not on guard. Repent and avoid sin. Proverbs 2

"Obey HIS Words" from James 1:17-27

There were two sons and their father let them make a garden - each of them promise they will do it. Then the father went to his journey. When he came back and saw no improvement, no garden, he asks the first son, "What did you do?" the son replied "nothing". (He was honest) Then he asks the second son "what did you do?” the son pauses for awhile and said "I helped my brother". (He was lying) And so it's impossible to pleased God without receiving the grace. We should be thankful to every gift we have... the talents etc.. It's all by the gift of God. John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Born again is relationship with God not religion it is on how you repent on your sins and not do it again. It's how your relationship from God. We need to be sincere. Demonstrate inward faith through outward actions. 1 John 3:9 whosoever is born of God doth n

Why do we need to Believe in the Bible?

Image
The objective of 1 on 1 evangelism to let them know we all need to have the step of faith. Would you believe that Jesus is more of a good moral believer? How could a God of love sent person to suffering, do you believe to in going to heaven? As a christian we must be ready to answer this but do not answer right away, work round about on how you will answer, how do you know the Bible? This book is the amazing book in the entire world, it was the Holy Spirit who guided the people who translated the scriptures, I know the Bible is true because I have experience I needed. The Bible promise to give me peacefulness and filled my doubts, and experience love for others, confirmed by science - they don't contradict each other, far before the heaven the stars are uncountable, the science confirmed no scientist can count the stars even if they invented the most highest technology, all matters are made by invisible energy. I believe the science because it confirms by the Bible. It tells about

"Persevere" from James 1:1-16

A little knowledge about the book of James, he was the half brother of Jesus and brother of John and James was one of the servant of pillar. Now for the Sunday Bible study topic. Who invented the sewing machine? Barthelemy Thimonnier (1793-1857) Barthelemy Thimonnier was a man of French descent whose father was a textile dyer of Lyon. Barthelemy learned the tailoring trade after he was forced to leave school due to financial pressures. Many of the villagers were weavers and he noticed what a short amount of time was required to weave a fabric on a loom, compared to the painstaking work of sewing a garment by hand. He wanted to invent a machine to do this work. His village also produced a type of embroidery called point de chainette, in which a needle with a small hook was used to form the chainstitch. It was Thimonnier's idea to use this type of hooked needle and produce the stitch by machine. Ignoring his tailor shop to the point where his neighbors thought him crazy, Thimonnier

"Have a Right Motives in Showing Kindness" from 2 Samuel 19

Image
We need to check our hearts in showing kindness. Matthew 6:1 Be careful not to do your acts of righteousness before man, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. Do not cover up your sin by showing kindness. King David was mourning for his son Absalom he shows kindness and trully sincere with his act. Joab killed Absalom, he is putting guilt to David, trying to cover up his sins in killing Absalom. Sometimes in our walk with the Lord we are discourage, we should continue to pressed on. Do we do it for man or for the Lord? If we do it for the Lord we wouldn't be discourage. As discouragement comes from Satan. Discouragement is when we are looking to ourselves and not from the Lord. We need to serve the Lord wholeheartedly, genuine and sincere before God. We need to show kindness to God from within our hearts. Shimei was the one who curse David. Ziba was the one who betrayed David. We can not cover our sins to God by showing kindness. ~~~

"Abide in Jesus" from Hebrews 13:9-25

Happy Mothers' Day! A teaching from: Proverbs 31:25-30 Strength and honor are her clothing; she shall rejoice in time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness. She watches over the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her: "Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all." Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. And now for the continuation of our Bible study from Hebrews 13:9-25 "Abide in Jesus" As a disciples we are never graduate we continue to learn the word of God. Never get tired of reading and learning the Bible. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, don't be deceive by strange teachings i.e. Not basic Christians doctrines. To abide in the Lord we need His grace - it will help us to endure; not by ceremonial foods 1 Timothy 4:1 The

"Be Concerned to Everyone" from 2 Samuel 18

Image
May 6, was the first Wednesday of the month, we are having our communion, we studied Luke 23:32-49. Communion is not a ritual but it's a true fellowship acknowledging Jesus as our savior, the evidence of our faith is our fellowship. ~Pastor Edging Now from our mid-week Bible study, we are in the Old Testament 2 Samuel 18, we greet each other with " Be Concerned to Everyone " Being concerned individually, for example if we hear an ambulance we became so insensitive and just ignore it, we don't care, but we could pray for those who are in that situation who needs help. We need to be concern with our immediate family because they are our first ministry. 13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. To show concern we also need to "respect", respect the authority and respect for others. As child of God we all have consequences of our deeds. Remember our family, their salvation, and pray for them. ~~~

"Love God Above All" from Hebrews 13:1-8

Image
Do you remember the chicken and the pig story? To let us remember the moral lesson of that story...The chicken can only lay eggs and food can be serve while the pig needs to be killed in order to give food in our table. John 13:34 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. Love is an action word; it is when we do it and not just say it. Proverbs 15:1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. A sharp word can ruin others. 1 Peter 4:8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Hospitality is talking to people when they want to talk to you in a nice way, listen to them.It is easy to talk about worldly things than talk about the Bible. Right? 1 John 2:9 Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. 1 Thessalonians 4:9 Now about brotherly love we do not need to write to you, for y
