"Follow the Wisdom of God" from James 3:13-18

Image
Wisdom came from the Greek word Sophia = Love for knowledge Now, there are two kinds of wisdom : wisdom of humanity and wisdom of God James 3:16-18 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from Heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. The wisdom of this word is folishness Being wise- Galatians 6:4 Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in him self, without comparing himself to somebody else. 1 Timothy 4:12 Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Peter 3:16 Keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. Humility - No man is wise enough by himself. In wisdom of God - we need to have respect and gentlen

"Be Careful with Your Tongue" from James 3

Be Careful with Your Tongue from James 3 One thing about the tongue is that, it is the smallest but the largest trouble maker. And so we must be very careful using our tongue. Example of encouraging words are when you say thank you, I'm sorry it's my fault please forgive me, but the discouraging words are bad words, accusing the person, any hurtful words that can torn the heart. Be a model of using words for example many of us must be a teachers, and be a good example in using words. 1 Peter 5:3 Not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. If someone will evaluate what's our primary sin it would be our tongue - because we can easily gossip someone, and we all stumble with our tongue. Ec 7:20 There is not a righteous man on earth who ends what is right and never sins. Be careful with your tongue and discipline it. Make yourself humble. Be quick to listen and slow to speak. Even when people gossip about us we shouldn't respond, tongue is li

"There is great victory in the Lord" from 2 Samuel 23

What is the middle verse in the Bible? Psalm 118:9 it is better take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes. We need to rely in the Holy Spirit and be guided, being anointed by the Holy Spirit is asking by faith. Psalm was 90% written by David, if he wasn’t anointed by the Holy Spirit he can’t write the book of Psalms. Bible study is not just fact it is also important to be guided by the Holy Spirit. Apart from the world of God we will not grow if we do not listen to the Holy Spirit as our learning is not based on information only. When you want to rule, first be ruled by God. If we are dependent in the Holy Spirit - We can continue to endure. What is the most difficult thing in life as Christian? The most difficult thing in the world is to try to live the Christian life without the power of the Holy Spirit. We must continue to ask God for the Holy Spirit to guide us every day. God is our strength. God can use broken people we all fall short but still God can use us if we let Him.

"Have a Sincere Faith" from James 2:14-26

Image
Pastor Edging told us the story: during his college days, he has a classmate in algebra - she seem to always understand the lessons very well, but when the teacher prepared a problem solving and called out her name, she was so nervous and can't answer. And so, to have a genuine faith we need to show demonstration not only by words. Ephesians 2:8-10 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. God already prepare a work for us we only need to demonstrate our faith - the key for everything is the love for our Lord God. Take a look in your lifestyle, take a look in your conversation, reflect to our self: who am I when I'm alone? Do I pleased the Lord? Faith alone saves but the faith that saves is not alone. Even if they are not born again, do good to them - sp

"Worship the Lord" from 2 Samuel 22

Image
What do you want to do in heaven? In heaven we are going to worship. And so, the first thing we need to do is to worship the Lord as HE is our defender. When we sin against God, Jesus is our defender and our lawyer. Jesus is our rock, fortress and deliverer... our shield guard and protector. We need to trust in Jesus. Sometimes we doubt, but we really need to trust in Him. We need to meditate and think of God as He is available 24/7. He is more than everything we ever need. He is the God that will protect us. Even in the midst of our trials God is our defender we need to call out for His name, the primary tool of our enemy is to condemn us and brain-wash our mind with the thought of “we are not good enough for God.” Example if anyone will gossip about you, you don’t need to defend yourself. We don’t have to defend our self as God is our defender. The Lord is our support. We need to realize that God is our support and we can worship Him. People can’t defend for us, people will be use b

"Don't Show Favoritism" from James 2:1-13

Image
A taxi driver who always shows favoritism, the driver doesn't want a poor passanger but only stop by a wealthy looking people. The driver passed by an old lady who look poor and stop by the younger ladies with "sexy and social" appearance, the ladies robbed all the money from the driver and even left him naked. The moral lesson of the story is to treat everybody with equallity and not to be biased as God didn't show favoritism. Favoritism is a sin of omission. Cornelius from the book of Acts was the first Gentile to became Christian and he proved that God didn't show any favoritism. Remember that, We are not serving men but we are serving God. Matthew 7:1 "Judge not, that you be not judged." Prison ministry, visiting the prisoners are hard ministry because they have foul smell, even though we must show compassion and equallity. Proverbs 14:21 He who despise his neighbor sins but blessed is he who is kind to the needy. We are serving not in our condition

"Keep your Promise" from 2 Samuel 21

Image
A story shared by Pastor Patrick; during their Pastors' conference, there was a red headed missionary who was a soccer player and fanatic that he would watch soccer in different TV at the same time. Then he was called by the Lord to serve Him for awhile, and so the misionary gave a promise to the Lord he will not play soccer for 1 year and avoid his addiction to it to serve God. And so he serve the Lord. But after awhile he receive a call from his friends that they need only one player so the game will not be void, he said he couldn't play but he can come just to support them, he went to the field, then quickly his friends changed his clothes to give him the position to play, but he remembered his promise to the Lord and so he just stood there at the side of the field and did not move. Now the ball went in front of him and he thought "a little kick won't hurt" and so he kicked the ball and he didn't notice he was already playing, he was running in the field an

Nice Christian Wedding of Tariman and Tipon Family

I can never completely express the overwhelming love I felt on this very special moment in their life; Virmalene Tipon and Pastor Edging Tariman Wedding. This was my first time to attend a Christian wedding and I must say it was different from the usual wedding that I witness. It was more of love than being extravagant in decorations. Here are the video and pictures... click Related Post Virmalene Tipon and Ptr. Edging Tariman Wedding ~~~
